Antimicrobial silver thread
Rather than an applied finish, an antimicrobial silver thread is woven inside the curtain to help prevent the growth of stains and odors caused by bacteria, mold and mildew. These antimicrobial properties are built-in to protect the product. This product does not protect users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs or other disease organisms.
Fire retardant
US NFPA 701: National Fire Protection Association standards for flame propagation of textiles and films used in interior furnishings for public occupancy buildings.1
UCL-S109: Canadian performance requirements in flameexposure tests for fabrics such as natural, synthetic, or combinations of natural and synthetic fibers, or plastic films. 2
Railroaded fabric
The grain of the fabric runs horizontally, making vertical seams unnecessary. The opposite of railroaded fabric is up-the-roll fabric.
Repeat
The space from one design motif to the next on a patterned fabric.
Up-the-roll fabric
The design runs vertically. The average width is 72” per panel without hems, and there is no maximum height. The opposite of up-the-roll is railroaded fabric.
Water repellent
These fabrics are water repellent so there’s no need for an additional liner if used in a wet area.
