Libraries for Life
October to December 2010
Your guide to all that’s happening in
libraries, archives and local studies
Welcome to our autumn events calendar for Medway's libraries.
Contents:
Libraries have so much to offer you, our residents. From the regular events we hold for children to the special activities that are organised for families and talks for adults, there is so much to choose from. It’s autumn break at the end of October, so we have plenty planned to keep the children busy, including lots of workshops, arts and crafts sessions and more. Our talks this season are varied and really quite interesting, definitely worth further investigation. This autumn also sees Black History Month running throughout October and we have activities in our libraries as part of this. This booklet also tells you about regular sessions that are held in our libraries, as well as the opening times and addresses for all our branches. New to this issue are clubs and activities that are held in Medway's libraries that are organised by the community. There really is so much going on. It's free to join a Medway library, so pop in this autumn. Not only that but with free use of PCs that have internet access, an ever expanding range of console games, DVDs and the introduction of blurays to our libraries, there has never been a better time to visit one. Of course, we have thousands of books, including the latest titles. We value what our customers have to tell us and your feedback helps us shape the activities we provide. I hope to see you in a Medway library this autumn.
