Libraries for Life

January to March 2011

Your guide to all that’s happening in

libraries, archives and local studies

become a friend of Medway Libraries on facebook

Welcome to our autumn events calendar for Medway's libraries The start of 2011 sees a number of exciting events and activities at Medway’s libraries. I’m delighted to see a vibrant jungle theme for this season’s family events. This will really capture children’s imaginations, but it doesn’t stop there. There’s an enormous amount on offer for adults too: computer courses; reading groups; creative writing workshops; talks and exhibitions, to name but a few. There’s always an interesting array of events and activities to take part in. It’s clear that Medway’s libraries are so much more than books. We also have an extensive range of entertainment. From DVDs and Blu-rays to Xbox and Wii games, as well as free to use computers with internet access and of course, thousands of books including the latest titles. With something for all age groups, the libraries are a great place for everyone. Whether you’re building on existing interests and developing your skills, or getting involved in something completely new, Medway’s libraries certainly are inspiring. We understand that leisure time can be seen as an extra expense but we aim to provide you with affordable, and often free of charge, activities so that everyone can benefit from their local library. I hope you’ll find this booklet full of events that will tempt you to come along and enjoy your library.
