Reading for life

There is no upper or lower age limit and anyone can use the library. Think there is nothing to interest you in Medway libraries? Think again:

in libraries, archives and local studies Love to read Choose from our range of fiction, including bestsellers, new writers and old favourites. Find out about travel, hobbies and enjoy a biography. Find out the latest news with magazines and newspapers.

Sound and vision Make the most of our talking books, music CDs - from rock to classical, pop to folk - and watch modern and classic films on DVD. If gaming is your thing, you'll love our selection of Wii, X-box and PlayStation games. Nintendo DS games can be borrowed from Gillingham Library too.

Be interactive Use the online library catalogue to place reservations and renew items. The interactive service is a must. Use the virtual reference library, email a question to a librarian and get to grips with the internet and Microsoft Office

software - there are computers in every library for public use. Not only that, in Medway libraries we also have a wide range of events and activities - please see overleaf for full details. There is so much to do in our libraries, you could spend hours in them. What are you waiting for? If English isn't your first language… There are books in other languages, dual language picture books and language courses available on CD. Use library computers to send messages to family and friends. And if you can't come to the library… A mobile library service may stop near where you live. You can also ask about the Home Library Service if you cannot go out alone without help. There is also a postal service for visually impaired customers. Phone your local library for more information.
