Welcome! The Church’s/Texas Chicken bi-annual meeting is a time for Franchisees and Restaurant Teams, Vendor Partners and Restaurant Support Company Employees to gather together as one brand, one voice and one team. As you know, this is my first convention since joining the Church’s/ Texas Chicken Family back in September, 2011. I’m excited about the journey we are taking together to reach our collective goals. Many of you have a long history with Church’s. Yet, some of you are fairly new members of our family. But all of you are part of our awesome brand’s future. Each of you will help set the course for not only the brand’s future, but your personal future as well. Over the next few days, you will hear from me and the leadership team about our commitment to you and how, through a collaborative effort, we can reach our goals of increasing sales and profits over the next five years. Jon Gordon, our keynote speaker, author of the best-selling book The Energy Bus, will impart ways in which you and your team can fuel your life and work with positive energy that can help lead to positive results and success. Speaker Mel Kleiman is an expert on recruiting and retaining passionate employees and building a strong team that will ultimately contribute to your bottom line. Mel will share tips that you can immediately put to work when you return home. John Bowie and his Operations team will be conducting a workshop that will focus on enhancing productivity by improving communication and increasing positive interactions with team members. The workshop will provide strategies to stay positive in the face of change, challenge and adversity and ensure that your teams get on The Energy Bus. Rob Crews and his Marketing team will lead a workshop designed to showcase effective local store marketing strategies and tactics that can be used to combat competitive attacks on the streets where Church’s and our customers live, work and play. And last but certainly not least, we’ll celebrate Church’s 60th Anniversary, a proud heritage of serving generations of loyal customers the best darn chicken in the world! Looking forward to spending time with you – Honoring our Past, Shaping our Future.

All the best,

Jim Hyatt Chief Executive Officer
