Sailing on The Spirit of Malta

On the 23rd of August , Meeting Point Malta Team, gathered together for an enjoyable ride on The Spirit of Malta Sailing boat. The departure was from Sliema Creek to St Paul's Islands. It was definitely a great evening with colleagues ..lots of music, dancing , delicious Sangria and night to swim in the beautiful Maltese sea. MP Turkey continuous development for Hotel Representatives MP Turkey continues to motivate and develop their Hotel Representatives Team. The MP Turkey Hotel Representative´s Manual was presented to the teams in Turkey. During the presentation a training about “How to Conduct an Efficient Welcome Info” and “Compliant Management“ was delivered by MPT´s Quality Manager, Unal Buyuksungur.

Around 100 Hotel Reps attended to the training sessions and participated a lot since the training sessions were very interactive and efficient.

At the end participants shared their positive feedback.

Sharing inspiring MP experiences How would you define your MPI experience in one word? And why? Perpetual. Never ceases to flow, evolve, develop new ideas and amaze me. There is always a chance to learn something new and improve my skills. There are frequent opportunities to share my ideas and be a part of a vivid team. Which do you consider the biggest challenges for MPI in your region? Undoubting the biggest challenge in our region for MPI would be recruiting and maintaining quality and multilinguistic personnel in representatives department). Mostly due to the particularity of the split destinations across the country. Can you share some insights about challenges in recruiting in different countries? Timeline (e.g. visa issue differs in terms of time from one country to another) Having a global attractiveness Complexity of the process (hiring, onboarding, compliantly employing) ‌.. Every country has its challenges. Creating attractive job prospects to attract international candidates Finding the right tools to target potential candidates Screening too many CVs to compare and more generally having a global view of qualification and schools Which are the most effective recruiting channels in your region?

Sharing inspiring MP experiences Can you share the most inspiring employee success story you have experience in MPI?

I would like to share with you a success story that occurred last season in Attica destination and still makes me smile. The Operations department received at the end of the season the following letter for one of our hotel representatives. Apparently guests wanted to show their enthusiasm and express their gratitude to the representative. During a demanding season working in the most professional yet relaxed way, she kept in mind that she is “a part of someone’s holiday” and her role is more than important. At the end of it all, it’s not about an excursion or a hotel, it’s all about experiences, memories, feelings.

Compliment from the Kitchen Beef tagine with prunes and sesames seeds Preparation: • Marinate the meat over night with salt, pepper, ginger, oil and garlic. • On the next day assemble the marinated meat with the rest of ingredients in a pot and cover it with hot water and let it cook until the meat melts • Reduce the sauce until it reaches a syrup consistency • Prepare the prunes • Soak the prunes in warm water for 6 hours • Assemble the sugar, cinnamon, rose water and cover with water and cook slowly in a pot Presentation : Dish out the meat first, than split the prunes and on top put the sesames seeds and add some sliced almonds. Add the reduced sauce at the end.
