Sharing inspiring MP experiences

Greetings form MP Dominicana Team

Sharing inspiring MP experiences Can you share with us your experience in MP so far? Eight months ago I joined MPI as CEO Meeting Point Dominicana. I was received as a new member of the family during my first summer camp last year in Turkey after only 3 weeks in the company. It was very good to see all my colleagues in the same place and start to share experiences and create links between us. I received a lot of support from the Management and Business Development to create the conditions to reach the success. As a CEO, I try to communicate a lot with my team to develop success keys: - Sense of belonging to our company. Be identified with the company brand to transform our job to our passion. We develop a positive attitude and everybody outside the company sees it. - Always trying even if the response is no, never give up, always find an alternative. - Create our own "'game rules" (Ocean blue strategy). - Develop the collective intelligence, two brains are better than one, three than two, etc... The consultation is something productive before taking a decision. How would you define your MP experience in one word? And why? One word ? Powerful. When you discover the whole group with the different entities vertically integrated, the logistic in place, the Human Resources, etc, you understand that you are in a very big company and you want to contribute with your participation at the growing of this one. Sharing inspiring MP experiences Which do you consider the biggest challenges and opportunities in your region?

The Caribbean has received last year more than 30 million of tourists. This is a full touristic region divided in 4: Spanish, French, Dutch and English Caribbean. Each one is different and has its own mix between European and African roots. The biggest challenge today for MP in the region is to create the same visibility and branding that we have today into the Egyptian or Turkey destinations. Be able to propose a panel of destinations into the Caribbean for our sister companies and Preferred Partners. With a full presence in the key islands, we have a universe of opportunities in the region for MP and MPH. Can you share the most inspiring employee success story you have experienced in MPI? It’s very difficult to talk about only one colleague when all the team is making a great job every day. However, I can mention the development of Venecia Tavarez. She joined MP as head of KAM; while she applied for Head of Operations but her profile was more commercial than operational. During the last 4 years, she has studied about operations (in parallel to her job of Head of KAM), she identified the areas of improvement for MPDO, the synergies between the different departments, analyzed the competitors, etc. And when the Head of Operations position was vacant again, she was ready for the role. She is now our Head of Operations in Dominican Republic.

Compliment from the Kitchen

Greetings from F&B Seya Beach Hotel

Compliment from the Kitchen

ŞAKŞUKA Turkish Style Fried Vegetable With Yoghurt – Tomato Dip Ingredients : 2 large eggplants 1 green bell pepper 1 sweet red pepper 1 red onion 1 small zucchini 4 cloves garlic, chopped Vegetable oil for frying 5 large tomatoes, peeled and cut into large pieces 50 gr.. tomato paste 1 tea spoon. sugar 1 tsp. salt, more or less to taste 1/4 tsp. black pepper, more or less to taste

Preparation Eggplant: cut off both ends and using the edge of a vegetable peeler or a paring knife, remove the skin in alternating strips going from top to bottom; and cut the eggplant into bite-sized rectangular chunks about 2 inches long. Put the chunks of eggplant in a large mesh strainer or colander and salt well, turning with your hands to salt all sides. Let the salted eggplant rest for about 15 minutes while you prepare the other vegetables. This removes the bitterness. Other vegetables: Coarsely dice the peppers, red onion, and squash.

Compliment from the Kitchen

ŞAKŞUKA preparation: Cooking time: Once the vegetables are ready, pour two inches of oil in a deep frying pan or saucepan and turn the heat on high. While the oil is heating, wash the eggplant in the strainer with cold water, turning it with your hands, until the salt is removed. Drain it well and blot off the extra water with paper towels before you fry them.

Fry the eggplant and other vegetables until tender and just beginning to brown at the edges. Strain out the fried vegetables and drain them on a thick layer of paper towels. Let them sit for several minutes to make sure as much oil as possible drains away. In the meantime, put two tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet and fry the onions, garlic, and peppers until tender. Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, salt, and pepper. Cover and reduce the heat to low. Let the sauce simmer until the tomatoes are soft and begin to break down. Remove the lid, stir it well, and let the sauce simmer until most of the liquid is reduced. It should be the consistency of jarred pasta sauce. In a mixing bowl, add the eggplant, squash, and tomato sauce and stir together well. Put the ŞAKŞUKA in a serving dish and chill for several hours. Just before serving, spoon generous amounts of garlic yogurt over the top. F&B Turkey
