Sharing inspiring MP experiences

Greetings from MPHM & MPH Team Members in Fuerte Ventura Engineers, Architects & Interior Designers

Human Human Resources Resources Newsletter Newsletter –– November November 2019 2019

Sharing inspiring MP experiences Can you share with us a your experience in MPHM so far? I started to work over a year ago for MP Hotels when the Architecture and Engineering team were established in the new MPHM Head Office in Istanbul. We were a group of Architects, Interior Designers and Engineers with the task of building up a team able to coordinate and supervise many projects happening at once all over the world, from hotel renovations, rooms designs and concepts, public spaces beautification to new hotels constructions. It was a total immersion in the hospitality world and the forward - thinking mentality of MP Hotels. In a short period of time we visited a great amount of our hotels in the destinations and got acquainted with the team and with what our CEO Roula Jouny had in mind for the next steps of MP hotels concepts and designs. After six months I was appointed as the Chief Architect, and together with my Team we were tasked to be involved in capex process for the hotels in terms of architecture and interior design. How would you define your MP experience in one word? And why? Exciting! Definitely not boring. There is never a day in which I don’t open my email and I don’t find a new challenge. Other people would call them difficulties or headaches but I like to think of them as puzzles to solve. The puzzles in this company always involve multiple and quickly changing scenarios and big team efforts and are exciting opportunities to make a difference and add value. The opportunity to travel and visit the destinations is a plus. But above all its very exciting and satisfactory to work with an amazing group of people every day and meet the staff in all the destinations where MP Hotels have properties.

Santiago Brusadin Chief Architect MPHM

Sharing inspiring MP experiences Which do you consider the biggest challenges and opportunities for MPHM for your department? As we quickly grow as a company and acquire more properties the new projects add up in the pipeline, so right now the biggest challenge for us is how to grow as a team in an organic way that results beneficial to the company. You don’t want to grow too fast neither too slow and building a strong team is a big challenge but a great opportunity as well. Can you share the most inspiring employee success story you have experience in MPHM? I travel at least once a month to Fuerteventura for the upcoming projects and I stay at our hotel Cactus Garden. Every morning I go down for breakfast before heading to the site. One thing that always surprises me there since the beginning is that so early in the morning the staff has a big smile on their faces and always says very friendly hello. I have to specially mention Javier Jimenez, the cook, as he always welcomes me with the most amazing of the smiles´- at 7.30h in the morning! It never fails, every time he is there, highly motivated, remembers my name and how do I like my omelet. Why is this a success story? It might seems like a small detail but it perfectly represents the spirit of the company with this driven behavior and no small role mentality. At the end of the day, we all work together, we are a huge group, trying to provide the client the best satisfaction. Within our field of expertise - every contribution is key, preparing the best omelet or designing the best mockup room...
