Taiwan
is one of the global economy’s greatest success stories and enjoys a reputation for flexibility and innovation. Taiwan’s world leadership in trade and certain industrial sectors like electronics and our advantageous geographic location are helping us to become one of the most attractive places to do business in the world. Taiwan is a natural place to meet. First of all, Taiwan’s strong industrial infrastructure offers advantages for event organizers and delegates who are looking for innovation, value, and fully integrated supply chain networks. Furthermore, Taiwan’s location means that it is only a short flight away from most of Asia’s commercial centers. This makes Taiwan the most convenient gateway especially for China and the rest of East Asia. And when your business day is over or you just feel the need to relax, Taiwan offers diverse activities to satisfy every kind of business traveler; from cultural traditions, festivals and gourmet food, to breathtaking scenery that is easily and quickly accessible via our convenient and modern transportation networks. Finally, visitors to Taiwan are often impressed by the friendliness and hospitality of the people here. These qualities, which are found throughout all levels of our well-educated workforce, immediately put visitors at ease, and these are genuine assets as Taiwan continues to seek development and business opportunity.
Mr. Cho, Shih-chao Director General, Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) Ministry of Economic Affairs
