Commendations and congratulations are in order on the debut and formal presentation of the Thirteenth Annual Links Beautillion! Beaux, much is to be said and long remembered regarding your achievements and success stories demonstrated in areas of academics, leadership, community service, church involvement, the arts, andsports.

Community leaders and citizens of Tallahassee look forward to your continued preparation to accept the reigns of leadership as our future leaders. Your participation in and completion of the Links Beautillion program has introduced you to many of our national, state, and local decision-makers. Your lofty goals, ambitions and educational pursuits are indeed lauded throughout the Tallahassee community.

To Beaux Treyvious Copeland, Jermaine Edwards, Shamir Franklin, Brantley Gibson, Miles Davis Johnson, Samuel King, Axama Rene, Isaac Triplett, Andrew Watson, Morgan Watkins and Elija h Daniel Williams, your experience as a Beaux is worthy of this community’s admiration and applause. You now serve as examples to high school seniors to follow. Beau Treyvious Le’Jordan Copeland, affectionately known as Trey, is the son of Taneka Copeland and Darrius Dudley. He attends Greater Bethel M.B.C. where he serves on the Usher Board and ministers through mime. A senior at Gadsden County High School and dual enrolled at Florida A&M University with a high school cumulative GPA of 3.98/4.72. Beau Treyvious will attend Florida A&M University as a Pharmacy major. While in school, Beau Treyvious is more than a student. He is the Student Body President and current Mr. Gadsden High School. He is also President of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club and African Amer-

ican Culture club. Treyvious also serves as an Ambassador for the FAMU Trio program, and is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars and F.S.U. Stride. He is also participating in Distinguished Young Gentlemen where he currently serves as President. He is also an active volunteer of the M.L.K. Committee of Chattahoochee and also spends numerous hours volunteering at Chattahoochee Elementary School. He intends to become a Pharmacist. He is being escorted by Quintera Safford. Beau Jermaine Edwards is the son of Harold and Talethia Edwards and the brother to seven siblings. He attends Celebration Baptist Church where he serves on the worship ministry team as a musician and worship leader. He is a senior at Leon High School with a high school cumulative GPA of 3.9. Beau Jermaine will attend Southern University as a Worship Ministry major. While in school, Beau Jermaine is more than a student. He is in the Leon High School Band as the French Horn Section Leader and the Leon High School

Capital Singers as the Bass Section Leader. He is also a part of the Madrigals and the Spanish Troupe. He is aware of his community and civic responsibilities by being a member of and participating in Youth Leadership Tallahassee and Alpha Leadership. Beau Jermaine intends to become a Worship Pastor and Leader. He is being escorted by Nia Nicole Terry. Jermaine’s guiding scripture/quote for life is, “Seek the kingdom of God above all else and live righteously and he will give you everything you need,” Matthew 6:33.

Beau Shamir Mehki Franklin, affectionately known as Mir, is the son of Patrick Sr. and Simone Franklin and the brother to five siblings. He attends Family Worship and Praise Center. He is a senior at Amos P. Godby High School with a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0. Beau Shamir will attend Florida A&M University as a Mechanical Engineering major. While in school, Beau Shamir is more than a student.

He is a former football player. He is also aware of his community and civic responsibilities by being a member of and participating in Omega Lamplighters, Incorporated. Beau Shamir intends to become a mechanical engineer. He is being escorted by Scheyer Franklin. Beau Shamir’s guiding quote for life is by, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “If I can’t do great things. I can do small things in a great way.”

Beau Brantley Gibson, affectionately known as Brant, is the son of Erik and Lametra Smallwood and brother to one sibling. He attends Celebrate New Life Tabernacle Church. He is a senior at James S. Rickards - I.B. Program with a high school cumulative GPA of 3.9. Beau Brantley will attend North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University as a Journalism and Mass Communications major. He is a member of the Rickards’ track and field team, cross country team, a student photographer, and is a member of the school’s multimedia club. Beau Brantley is also a member of the National Honor Society and has previously been a member of the French Club, and Speech and Debate Club. He is

also a member of Tallassee Chapter of the Kappa League where he currently serves as the President. He also serves as the President of the Tallahassee Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. Finally, he is a member of Stemount, a student-led organization that aims to promote interest in STEM among minority students in Leon County. He is being escorted by Amaya Waymon. Brantley’s guiding quote for life is, “I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I remain.

Beau Miles Davis Johnson, affectionately known as Miles, is the son of Heather and Michael Johnson and the brother to one sibling. He is a senior at FAMU DRS and dual enrolled at Florida A&M University with a high school cumulative GPA of 4.15. Beau Miles will attend Harvard as a Pre-engineering major. While in school, Beau Miles is more than a student. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the Beta Club and serves as a senior class secretary of the Student Government Association. He was also named a 2022 Sunshine State Scholar and was certified in Agricultural Ed-

ucation Services and Technology in 2021. He is also a certified Taekwando instructor and has earned rank as a third degree, Level III Black Belt. He is aware of his community and civic responsibilities by being a member of and participating with First Harvest and helping distribute food to the community. Beau Axama Rene’, affectionately known as Azama, is the son of Kevin and A’yla Rene’ and brother to two siblings. He attends Bethel A.M.E. Church where he participates in bible study. He is a senior at Lincoln High School and dual enrolled at Tallahassee Community College with a high school cumulative GPA of 4.59. Beau Axama will attend The University of Central Florida as an Aerospace Engineering major. While in school, Beau Axama is more than a student. He is an officer of the National Honor Society at his school. While participating in National Honor Society, he is the Vice

President of Mu Alpha Theta at Lincoln High. He is also aware of his community and civic responsibilities by being a member of and participating in the Green Club - ensuring the local environment is clean and taken care of through park clean up. He also tutors students at his school weekly. Beau Axama intends to become an Aerospace Engineer at NASA. He is being escorted by Josie Smith. Beau Axama’s guiding quote for life is, “The only thing you take with you when you’re gone is what you leave behind.”

Beau Isaac Mizell Triplett, affectionately known as Isaac, is the son of Fred and Shedric Triplett and the brother to three siblings. He is a senior at James S. Rickards High (I.B. Program) with a high school cumulative GPA of 4.0. Beau Isaac hopes to attend a four-year university as an Applied Physiology and Kinesiology major. While in school, Beau Issac is more than a student. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is a member of the school’s sport and competitive cheerleading squads. He is also the reigning 2022 - 2023 Mr. Blue and Gold. He is aware of his community and civic responsibilities by being a member of and

participating in the Distinguished Young Gentlemen where he serves as the stroll master, step team captain and is the recipient of the Coach’s Merit Award. Issac is also a competitive gymnast at the Trousdell Gymnastics Center where he received the Gymnast of the Year award the last two years. He also coaches recreational gymnastics classes and provides private lessons. Beau Isaac intends to become a sports physician or rehabilitation therapist. He is being escorted by Kelsey Mitchell. Isaac’s guiding scripture is “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath”, James 1:19.

Beau Morgan Christopher Watkins, affectionately known as Morgan, is the son of Mr. Willie J. Mitchell and Dr. Darice Richard and the brother to four siblings. He attends the Greater Tabernacle of Praise. He is a senior at Leon High School with a high school cumulative GPA of 3.36. Beau Morgan will attend The Savannah College of Art and Design - Atlanta as a Photography/Digital Media/Fashion Design major. While in school, Beau Morgan is more than a student. He is a member of the Key and Film Clubs. He is also a part of Leon’s yearbook, Film and Mosaic Magazine staff. He is distinguished with numerous awards involving

his photography work. His talents include photography, film imaging, short film creation, film development/production and graphic design. He attends Engage Church Tallahassee, serving in Engage SHIP Youth Group. He attends Florida State University School and dual enrolled at Tallahassee Community College with a high school cumulative G.P.A. of 4.42. Beau Andrew will attend Morehouse College as a Graphic Design Major with a minor in African American Studies. He is currently a straight-A student who takes all honors classes and has taken seven A.P. classes, in which he scored the highest possible score of five on his A.P. United States History Test. He has also been inducted into four Hon-

ors societies: The National Honors Society, The National English Honors Society, The National Math Honors Society, and The National Spanish Honors Society. Beau Elijah Daniel Williams, affectionately known as Eli, is the son of Wakili and Leann-Danielle Williams and he has one brother. He attends Jerusalem M.B. Church where he serves in the Youth Ministry and is President of the Youth Usher Board. He also assists with children outreach activities. He is a senior at Florida High with a high school cumulative GPA of 3.3. Beau Elijah will attend Clark Atlanta University as a Business/Fashion major.
