Checklist by Julia Modina With prom night approaching, it is crucial that you come prepared! I can guarantee you that this will be a night to remember, and to ensure that your Prom is as memorable as possible, follow this checklist!

Basic Essentials Your ticket! School ID Phone/Camera A coat or jacket Makeup

DO NOT BRING! (these items will be confiscated)

A large bag Perfume Food/Drinks Gum or candy

TRANSPORTATION Taking an uber? Renting a limousine or party bus with your friends? Hitching a ride from your parents? Whatever it is, make sure to organize transportation ahead of time!

OUTFIT Nothing is worse than your parents yelling at you for going last-minute prom shopping :( Settle your outfit beforehand and choose something that makes you feel confident! Pro tip: bring comfy shoes to wear after the dance is over!

DATE If you have a date, make sure you treat them right! Get them flowers, a corsage or boutonniere, tell them they look amazing, and don't forget to take photos for the memories!

Best of luck with your prom preparation! Out of all the steps mentioned in this list, the most important one is to HAVE FUN!

Getting a Date by Itzel Huerta Putting yourself out there to ask that special someone out to prom can be quite intimidating, but that shouldn’t stop you from shooting your shot! To help, here are some tips and tricks

BE CREATIVE The classic poster-and-flowers kind of asking is nice, simple and sweet, but why not try to go the extra mile? Maybe choreographing a small dance for them, come up with silly puns that hint to the asking through out the day or surprise them with anything really. Showing this special someone that you took the time and effort really goes to show how much you care about them and how you would really like to go with them to the dance!

PREPARE Do they like snickers? Is their favorite color green? What TV shows do they watch? Preparation can go a long way in showing how much thought and consideration you put into an asking. Showing them that you really made the effort to include things they enjoy, like snacks, a stuffed elephant, boba, anything! It’s the small things that count.

BE THOUGHTFUL While some prefer big extravagant promposals, others might not be a fan of big crowds. The last thing you want to do is make the other person feel uncomfortable! Remember that with enought thought and consideration, a private asking can be just as meaningful as any other!

These are just a few ideas to up your prom asking game and shoot your shot! Now get out there and get asking :)

Pick-UpLines: by Natalie Chang I would take you to the movies, but they don’t allow snacks inside. Are you http? Cause without you i’m just :// My love for you is like diarrhea, I just can't hold it in. Are you my mom’s slippers? Cause you hit different. Do you believe in love at first sight—or should I walk by again? Are you a microwave because MMMMMM Can you help me solve my equation of y you're better than my x? Are you a parking ticket? Cause you got fine written all over you. Tell your parents that I’m a big fan of their work. I’m mad at Spotify, you should be on the top hottest singles!
