You should use at least 2 types of polyhedrons learned this chapter (i.e. sphere, cylinder, pyramid, prism, cone). What type of materials and how many should I use? You can use anything from cereal boxes to soda cans. Some other suggestions are balloons or balls, ice cream cones or funnels, or recycled food containers. Resources The following links will assist you during the course of your project. Please utilize them! What are Polyhedrons? – A description of the characteristics of polyhedrons. This would be a great place to start brainstorming the ways you can combine polyhedrons. (Good pictures as well) Interactive Surface Area and Volume – A site that lets you interact by changing the width, height, and depth of polyhedrons. You can also test your calculation skills by changing the mode from Explore to Compute. Formulas - A site with photos of different polyhedrons as well as their formulas. This site is a great resource to have all of your formulas in one place. Surface Area Video – A video to refresh your knowledge on surface area Volume Video – A video to refresh your knowledge on volume
