Please consider our recommendations as breeders when shopping for a bull. We have spent years calving these cows and have been tracking their traits and genetics. Calving ease should not be biased on only BW, we also consider calving records of dam and sire. Body frame and bone structure of each bull, and genetic consistency. This is our first trial using this system, we want to make purchases more simplistic for our clients.

We welcome you to our second annual bull and female sale! As young producers, we are incredibly grateful for everyones support. Our first sale in 2024 was successful because of the buyers and their faith in our program. Raising quality bulls takes time, patience, and much support from our community. We thank our sponsors for their contributions. Thank you VJV marketing team for giving us much-needed support and advice, your help is crucial to our growth and understanding of the market. We also want to thank our guest consignors Alan and Shelley Landaker for joining our sale again. We admire their program and love to showcase their cattle.
The cattle industry is a blessing but also a sacrifice, this is an ongoing lifestyle we have chosen to raise our family in, through good and bad. In this current market there is a dramatic catch-up in motion for all cattle producers. Calf prices have held strong, farmers are re-building herds and spending money on capital. There is a demand for females again. The cattle industry is prospering, and we pray this surge is only the beginning. As young progressive producers, a refreshing perspective is lingering, and we see a bright future.
Darcy and I have spent our fair share of money on good bulls, OK bulls, and waste of investment bulls. We have lost opportunity and growth from poor purchase decisions and never want our clients to feel the same. Therefore, our focus is to produce hardy cattle that can carry themselves through any environment. Our program promotes healthy, conditioned bulls without sacrificing their feet, stomach health, and breeding longevity. Our bull nutrition program is of utmost importance to us. We need our cattle to exceed and thrive on pasture. We aim to feed for optimal Average Daily Gain without compromising performance or confirmation. We strive to produce cattle that gain the most in the shortest period. Pounds equals money right now. During this economic time of growth, we want our customers to feel confident in every bull or female purchased. The more fruitful our cattle are, the more profitable our clients become. The cattle industry will only prosper and grow with good genetic decisions.
Looking through our catalogue, you will notice two age groups of bulls: Fall added-age bulls, and Winter born yearling bulls. We are overparticular when choosing our herd sires, using genetic screening we have selectively bred homo black bulls to Full Fleckvieh cows. This breeding produces black 31/32 bulls, the closest to black Full Fleckviehs you can propagate. This cross improves structure, performance, milk production, and calving abilities. We have successfully developed dominant “The Money Stripe” progeny.
Last year we were overwhelmed with the interest in our commercial females. This year we have decided to sell 4 Lots of our very best commercial open heifers, and only one registered heifer. As ‘Caitlyn’ has said many times, “Darcy’ is a heifer hoarder!” This will be the only opportunity in 2025 to buy commercial heifers from Blazin’ J breeding stock. These females have been managed like our own replacements; these are the top commercial heifers we have to offer. Like most producers, we love our cattle and only want to provide the best husbandry and health protocols. If our cattle are healthy, they will perform at their best. Our health records are always available on request. Bull and heifer protocols are posted on page 6 under HEALTH.
Since 2016 we have resided 25 minutes East of Valleyview, Alberta on the South end of beautiful Snipe Lake. Blazin J was built from the ground up, both Darcy and I were born and raised in the Peace Country on 4th and 5th-generation mixed cattle and grain farms. Our 3- year-old son Dwayne is now a 6th generation farmer, we are very excited to raise him and watch him grow on our farm! Again we are very excited about this new lineup of cataloged animals, we hope you enjoy the meal and stop by for a visit. Thank you for your ongoing support and see you at the sale.
Darcy, Caitlyn & Dwayne Lind Blazin J Simmentals
The VJV Livestock Marketing Group would like to invite everyone out to the 2 nd annual Blazin J Bull Sale. The Linds have done a wonderful job selecting genetics that are proven, have natural growth, and are also willing to look outside the box to help both purebred and commercial cattlemen in the Peace Country with selecting herd sires. Darcy’s focus on growing out these bulls and Catlyn’s tireless efforts on the breeding program make this year’s offering of 30 yearling and long yearling bulls a tremendous offering of bulls that would compliment anyone’s herd.
The cattle market in 2025 looks to be even higher than 2024 and in the cattle business, pounds translate into money so if performance and growth is your focus this is a sale you need to attend.
This year’s bull offering includes a few powerful lead-off embryo bulls, red and red blaze bulls, and the addition of 6 solid blacks and 13 black baldie bulls to complete their bull offering.
This year’s sale will also include 1 black blaze purebred heifer, and 4 lots of 3 commercial heifers (2 lots of red/rbf) and (2 lots of BBF). Blazin J is also excited to have Landaker Charolais back to the sale again this year with 4 red commercial bred heifers and 4 papered Charolais bred heifers. Come on over to the sale and see the updated sales facility at Blazin J, walk through the bulls and females, and enjoy the great sale day hospitality. If you can not make it to the sale the sale will be broadcasted live on VJV Online and DLMS.
Look forward to seeing you at the sale!

Without a doubt, these embryos have been the most talked about bulls in our offering. Cookie cutter brothers, it will be difficult to say who is the best of the two. We purchased FGAF Magnum 901Z semen from Stefon and Rebecca Beechinor during the Fleckvieh Equation hoping to flush from the perfect FF cow someday. When we bought LRS Miss Deloris we knew she was the ideal female for this cross. Flushing LRS Deloris has proven to work time and time again, but this specific breeding worked exactly as we hoped. Deloris is the most ideal 100% Full Fleckvieh we own, we only wish to own 200 cows like her. Super strong footed, long-bodied, wide pelvis, and loads of muscle definition. Crossing her with the famous FGAF Magnum 901Z, added long dark pigmented hair, deep barrel, and muscle! There is nothing I can compare more powerful than these bulls in our sale.
Here is the exact representation of our black program. Our goal is to cross Fullblood cows with Homo Black Bulls and create the best black-white faced cattle. We believe in producing bulls with length and muscle, we are especially picky when selecting our herd Sires for these traits. Purchasing TSF Jennings 28J has given us the whole package and made our bulls very consistent and incredibly desirable, our heavy milking fleck females cross incredibly well with TSF producing heavy weaned calves. There is a need and want for black-influenced fleck cross cattle, we will continue our goal and provide this style of 31/30 progeny.
We just keep breeding TSF Jennings because we know the result will be outstanding. Another son with a lot of length, depth, and dimension. From an outstanding TSF cow, check out the hind quarters and top line on this bull.
HOMO POLLED -
Homo Black and Homo Polled alert! If you need guaranteed long black hair in your herd this is your bull. Small but mighty package, we recommend keeping every heifer from this guy. Coming from a very strong maternal background you will be very happy with his udder and milk production. Good square and wide balanced feet. This is a female retaining prospect; rebuild a cow herd with trusted proven genetics.
Another lengthy TSF Son, he is a moderate framed bull that comes from our favorite Killswitch daughter. Strong-footed and super square bull, his genetics will correct most udders. If you need to add hair and some style to your calves, consider this bull your top choice.
We are quite fond of this bull and perhaps a bit biased due to his mother’s track record. 76 would be a bull I would recommend someone to take to the next level and show. He has eye appeal, incredibly fancy stretched top line, and is super friendly. We retained his ½ brother as a walking sire. If you are looking for consistent deep powerful heifers, really have a look at this bull. His sire, Trailblazer, is known for outstanding female genetics. We flushed Trailblazer to our own BEE 730 cow, this combination will be an influential addition to our female program. Darcy has always said, “It’s about the females that make our herd, we are not only focused on the bulls”.
Very balanced conformation bull. If you are looking for a potential long-aged heifer bull prospect, keep your eye on this guy. On the top side BLZN Gunner was our heifer bull for many years, used in our fall and winter programs on heifers. We were confident breeding him to Iris 929G, another calving-ease dam. Throughout this bull’s pedigree, the lineage shows heifer prospect.
Another top-end TSJ Jennings son, this bull has been impressive throughout all stages of his life. More frame and substance, still soft made on the ribs. Deepbodied and with lots of great hair, this is another quiet-natured bull. His dam has a very correct udder and fantastic feet.
Very fancy black bull with loads of presence, his pedigree is stacked. Caitlyn again sacrificed one of her 100% Full Fleckvieh cows for Darcy’s black program. The height and performance were inherited from his dam’s influence. His sire Ransom, is an AI bull from State Of War, a very popular black seed sire on the market. State Of War has produced top-end calves throughout the cattle industry.
Without a doubt, this purebred is a powerhouse, the highest ADG in the pen! Take note, we have noticed at all the auctions white face calves have been in high demand and sought after. This bull stacks all the right heritable traits. It’s tough to make them any more powerful and balanced than this guy. Long and soggy this bull is the quietest bull to walk this year.
Eye-appealing bull with fantastic conformation, long barrel and has good feet under him. Not the biggest bull but definitely developing into a herd sire. His dam has performed very well on our farm and is proving herself to someday be a herd matriarch. Time passes and we appreciate these kinds of cows for their udders, strong feet, and durability.
Thick-made with lots of style and chrome. These KSL sons have that herd bull look that catches your eye when you walk through the pen. 89M comes from our most liked TWWW cow family. He should tidy up udders and improve foot structure, all around loads of maternal strength. Bulls like this guy add lots to offer in a growing beef business.
This is a unique bull we have here, this is our first BLL Kalibre son to sell. BLL Kalibre was purchased by Starwest Farms for $275,000 in 2019. After introducing Kalibre females into our herd we have grown very fond of them. We admire our Skyest Daisy cow, I cannot reiterate the udder and foot quality of this cow. Daisy’s daughters always land themselves in our replacement pen. With the combination of Kalibre and Daisy, you will produce sensational; top-producing females.
We easily recommend this bull to most programs. Wide top, loose made, wide barrel, he is a bull we rank quite highly. His Mother is a very
and wide TWW cow who is making her mark here. If you need a beefy bull with the full package watch this guy.
This bull is a photocopy version of his sire, long made, and exceptional top line. On the CSA EPD charts, 86 Mad Max is ranking #2! His EPD show strong attributes and is above breed average. In addition to stellar EPD’s his personality and demeanor is ideal for any quiet, easy-working herd.
-
Without a doubt, this is our strongest offer of black bulls to date. Every sire group in our herd has risen above our expectations. These TSF sons are real powerhouses, their length, thickness and testicular development have made them easy to raise. 85 is stacked with strong maternal genetics and will produce seed stock all cattlemen will profit from.
This bull is the icing on the cake, a powerful Red Bull with a hint of chrome. If you are looking to add some flesh to your calf crops do it with Marco. You get this kind of breeding using a powerful Fallen Timber cow crossed with Nug Stockman, two parents that we cannot find any flaws. This bull is breed-leading, not too many come more powerful and balanced than this guy.
All our Stockman sons are easy keeping chunks and League is no different. Long, soggy bull with loads of hair and pigmentation. 71L has developed a very nice square foot and travels smoothly with a long stride. If you walk out in the pen you will notice how quiet this bull is, fantastic demeanor.
Another pen favorite but again this bull is out of our top herd matriarch BEE 730E. She has been the Dam of many high-selling bulls. A 2024 sibling sold as the high seller to Codesa Colony. Magic Mike is ribbed with lots of softness, he has that extra wide top line and not short of any capacity. 90 has that presence that is common with sons of our BLZN Kryptonite. When you are looking for a herd sire be sure to look at this bull’s EPDs, he is stacked and will surely improve any herd progeny!
Smooth, dark, red bull out of another top-producing TSF cow. Lots of length to him and fantastic square feet. This is a super consistent growing bull with added muscle and shape. Fresh genetic outcross on his sire’s side.
The breeding of this bull is as solid as they come. We purchased his sire from John Beechinor for use as a heifer bull. BEE Mountaineer was the coolest heifer bull, a small mighty package with unbelievable growth abilities. His calves were born the perfect size for heifers but in a day or two they boxed out and looked like little deep freezers. We loved that sire and retained all the females he ever produced. By crossing TWWW 419H cow to BEE 605F our thoughts were to add height and performance, and we believe we accomplished that goal
We really like this bull for his growth and frame. Strong straight top, long body, and plenty of style. A stacked pedigree with consistent production from his sire BLZN 728G. This bull is the product of a very successful breeding. This bull’s dam & grand dam always produced replacement heifers or sale bulls. They are longbodied super feminine females with some of the best feet. His dam has a pictureperfect udder and produces lots of milk. If you didn’t get
you
buy
the same genetics through this black bull.
We are honest breeders and want our customers to trust us and openly know what they buy. With any bull sale, Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder! When you notice this bull’s pedigree you might question the lineage. As Caitlyn has said in the past “It’s like the movie ‘Twins’ with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. When you play with genetics and have created Danny DeVito it’s an oops, when you create perfection, it is considered Arnold Schwarzenegger.” One glance at this bull and you know without a doubt this line breeding worked out completely in our favor. This bull will be the most consistent producing sire in any pasture, all calves will be cookie-cutter perfect.
-
Another featured black bull you can really admire. Powerful thick and no lack of capacity or style. He has that clean make and extra presence that proves impossible to miss. Lightyear’s sire BLZN 728G was an incredible walking sire we will miss dearly. Used first as a heifer bull we knew after 2 crops he was something special. Calves were born moderate BW but outgained and developed muscle far faster than all our other black bulls. We owned a unicorn sire, and now BLZN 728G is gone we want to share those genetics as much as possible.
Another outstanding 728G son, he has a generous amount of depth around his barrel. Stacked with performance and length from his Dam’s lines. This bull has a bright future and will produce outstanding calves. With highly productive bloodlines, his pedigree shows he will be a impressive investment opportunity.
Fancy put together blaze face, he wears the money stripe. Strong foot with lots of heel, this bull is as close to a black Fullblood as anyone can buy. 60 carries himself very proud, with loads of depth and power. An ideal conformation, his only fault is being shy.
One of the quietest bulls in the pen, a fleshy bull with added extra length. You can not fault a bull with this wide of hindquarters, weight equals easy money. This is a standout black bull, he will produce fleshy easy-keeping calves. Slap that money stripe on, lots of hip and weight, and consider your next weaned crop already sold.
This is a unique brockle bull, EPD’s improved and ranked #1 being an upgraded bull. Another gem Homo Black and Homo Polled guarantees black white faces in your breeding program. We admire this bull’s long topline and added height, he has long legs that will allow him to walk through tough terrain and cover taller cows.
Don’t let this bull’s BW fool you. He could be used on larger heifers but we do not consider him a true heifer bull prospect. His sire has been used in our Fall and Winter breeding program on a total of 150 heifers; his sire is bomb-proof. The dam is a Full-Fleck cow who has performance and is stacked with maternal strength. We love the attributes both parents threw on this bull. Looking at the depth and capacity this bull carries you will be happy to use him on cows or second calvers while adding that little extra performance and growth only a Fleckvieh cross
If you admire Bull 76M, this is a full-flush sister. Again, we cannot describe our love enough for BEE 730E. She has always been the top-producing purebred cow in our herd. After we experimented with WJS Trailblazer, we quickly realized he was a female-producing bull and made the decision to flush him with BEE 730E. The combination has been some of our favorite heifer calves. This heifer is stunning, long, and smooth with a full flank. Longevity and consistency will be in this heifer’s future.
These pens of open heifers were very difficult to give up. Sired by our best walking sires these groups all come from our strongest top-end commercial cows. All born 2023, Late December to February you have full confidence that these heifers are ready to breed any day. Many of these females are sired by Homo Black bulls or 100% Fleckvieh sires. We express how proud and confident we are to show off any of our papered or commercial cows. We raise our commercial and papered females all the same with no exceptions towards bad traits. We believe in working cattle with proven longevity. Thank you to our 2024 heifer Buyers, Alan & Shelley Landaker @ ‘Landaker Charolais’ and Ryan & Jenna Cox. These are great references to find out how our 2024 females performed.
Blazin J open heifer health protocol consists of Inj. ADE, Selenium, Calf Guard, Nasalgen 3 PMP at birth. Vision 8 Somnus and Vista 5 VL5 at pasture kick out and boosted post-weaning. All heifers have received 2 shots of Estrumate prior to the sale. All birthweights and growth information have been documented.
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Blazing J Bull & Female Sale!
We would like to thank the Lind Family for the opportunity to consign Females to the sale again. And a big thank you for all the help they provide us. These Charolais heifers are easy doing, quiet girls that are from 4 different sire groups, Jackpot, Visa, Pandemic, and Circle Cee Spike. The dams are all good cows with good feet and udders. The Commercial heifers are the top picks out of 51 head, this was a tough decision to let them go. They are bred to 2 easy calving Charolais bulls. Bred heifer health program includes Bovi-Shield Gold FB VL5 with Vista Spur, pregnancy confirmed by a licensed veterinarian.
Very quiet, this heifer is super easy to look at, with excellent feet and legs from the Pandemic bull. Her mother 522C is not a big cow but always raises the good ones, Pandemic as sire will give LCF 19L a nice size.
Bred to Hwy Legend 23L an easy calving feed efficient super nice homo polled bull turned out July 13.
Another gem of a heifer, eye-catching polled Jackpot daughter. Her mother is a bigger frame cow but being from Jackpot who is more moderate framed will be a nice size. Harvie Ranch had a Jackpot daughter be Grand Champion female heifer at Farm Fair 2024 then went on to sell for $35,000.00.

This heifer will have a fantastic udder and proves to have a gentle personality. Polled Visa daughter from the 5B cow from the original George Bolin herd, Visa is a bull that came from Jaydawn Farms with perfect feet and legs. She is bred to Hwy Legend, so homo polled, exciting to see her calf.
Bred to Hwy Legend 23L, was turned out July 13.
Balanced, lots of hip and capacity, polled heifer I purchased as a cow/calf pair when I bought a small herd from the Thourets at Haylakes, AB. 9L should be a moderate size and make a really good cow. She is bred to homo polled Jackpot, he was turned out July 13.
These 4 Simm/Angus beauties are bred for a 60 day calving window. There were 2 easy-calving Charolais bulls with a group of 51. HRJ 204K Karma and KLR 324L Elders Lakoda. These heifers are top of the 51 group and hard to part with. Bulls on July 13 – out September 11/24
