Design proposal for Red Earth Innovation Plaza Tower Shenzhen, China Status: Design Proposal Under: Jaeger and partners Role: Assistant to architect Following the benefit of unique geographical location and environmental advantage of Houhai district central business district, the objective of this project is to design and build a project which ideally communicarte with the surrounding environment,urban context, techonology and aesthetics. The design of SCGC Tower will play a crucial role in exemplifying the company ideals of Integrity, Earnestness, Pragmatism, Innovation and Peopleorientation while providing high-end professional work environment to the business community of Shenzhen. It should integrate these urban features and yet evolve its unique signature identity from it. The design proposal aims to evolve a unique character for the tower through holistic integration of nature, urbanism and skyline identity. The self-evident spirit of a tower lies in the integration of various nuances of architecture, urbanism as well as core values of the company into a holistic and sophisticated design. The tower creates unique identity, enriches its surrounding and becomes an inseparable part of the city.

BEIDOU INDUSTRIAL PARK Masterplan for Beidou Industrail Park Guangxi, China Status: Design Proposal Under: Jaeger and partners Role: Design Team The objective of the Beidou Industrial Park is set to be the top industrial standard for research and development,production, application of Beidou Satellite System of South China, if not the whole country. And meanwhile it is to position as the same level as other top international industrial parks with good environment, well-sized, and good architectures. Urban design that promotes a higher density of buildings and public spaces (in conjunction with other conditions such as mixed use, good building design and adequate open space) have several advantages over ‘Garden City’ principles. With the growth and development of Ganzhou city, many of its areas are moving towards a High-Quality theory of planning. Some key elements of this proposal include “Compact City”, “Green City”, and “Digital City” planning theories which more suitable for Ganzhou and our site area requirements.

CM2 OFFICE TOWER

Office tower Construction proposal Melbourne CBD, Australia Status: Design Proposal Under: Melbourne School of Design Role: Design team

The location and orientation of our building is highly influenced by the complemental attributes of the site. The proposed skyscraper would situated at the southeast corner of the site in order to provide a large receded open space for public due to high pedestrian and traffic density along Exhibition St. and La Trobe St. In order to achieve high spatial efficiency in such a high density and value area, we decided to use the square as our basic shape to develop with. The tower was divided into four parts, i.e. low-rise, mid-rise, high-rise and sky-rise. Each of them occupied 12 floors of 4m floor-floor height and has separate double height mechanical floor for service equipment and machineries. The decision on the structural system for the design is geared by the design intent of achieving horizontal cut outs and clear articulation of form to create ‘floating blocks in the sky’ effect.The building aims to create a pleasant environment for the users as well as to reduce energy consumption. Hence, the control of the internal environment is emphasised through design.

ARCHITECTURAL INFRASTRUCTURE: ADDRESSING STOCKHOLM’S GROWTH Ärvinge station On the Tram Route Stockholm, Sweden Status: Design Proposal Under: KTH - School of Architecture and the Built Environment Role: Design Team The main idea was always to put the pedestrains first, and value their paths, together with public transportation, more than cars.Existing car infrastructure, in the spot where it’s the most dense, stays on the previous ground level, but gets covered with green surface, which leads to the forest on the other side of the highway.On top of the surface lies our proposed, circular building, with semi-public space in the middle, that combines public uses like tram station, small “amphitheatre” and black box theatre, and these more reserved: playground and recreational freen space. All the parking spaces are located underground. As a contrast to the building and according to existing architecture in Kista, we propose a residential tower, with an open space around it, that will serve as an attractor and a “public squre”.Since the connection to the greenery is very important, not only architecture itself joins the two areas together, but also character of space inside of the circle: park with paths dedicated more to the shape of ground and functionality, than geometry, and trees planted in a bigger density near the existing forest, dissolving gradually towards the public spaces.

Status: Design Proposal Under: KTH - School of Architecture and the Built Environment Role: Design Team The surroundings of Gullmarsplan are a vital transportation hub situated by the green waterfront between Arstaviken and Hammarbyleden - the point of recreation and historical heritage that existed here before every family was supposed to have at least one Volvo car. The mix of forests, parks and roads resulted in lack of the pedestrain-friendly scale of streets: and despite the fact that many buildings have been marked with high social value as well designed residential buildings, close to important cultural points, the lack of easy communication with the “outside” - nearest neighbouhoods - is evident. The design proposal intend to explore what is most valuable in district of Johnanneshov and connect it in a pedestrain/ bike accesible way.







PLANING’S SCURES REFLECTION ON AUSTRALIA’S UGLINESS Design of Mix use housing project Fitzroy, Melbourne

Status: Design Proposal Under: Melbourne School of Design Role: Design Robin Boyd investigates the Australia aesthetic in architecture and urban planning as “featurism” in his book “the Australia ugliness”. He channelled the “cultural cringe” and idea that Australia was not as lively and beautiful as Europe. However the present Australia urban appearance shows the real history of cities development from mining boom, global financial crisis to today’s service boom. Response to the transition, the urban planning strategy of Australian cities should not focus past 2030 prevailing plan which based on pre-technology thinking, but seek for a new change in regulation to evolve approaching 2050. Refer to the Metropolitan urbanism of Manhattan,It is now the time for Australian to break down the ‘Garden cities’ urban planning model and respond to the transition from the mining boom to the service sector boom. The proposal will focus on looking for potential design solutions and challenging the current urban regulation to respond to the coming transition through the design of a mix use housing project in South Fitzroy.

Design proposal for a gateway project Werribee, Australia Status: Design Proposal Under: Melbourne School of Design Role: Design team Regarding to the brief, the gateway project should be iconic that reflects the natural features and cultural identity of Wyndham city and also it is should be an interactive eye-catching project which can creates the visual awareness for its users who are traveling through this area. Based on this, the final design is inspired by the process of cell aggregation which symbolize the population growth and urban development of the site, the interactive structure of cells also engaged with growing, adaptive forms to create an effective spatial environment. The aggregation of structure is demonstrated by grouping individual member of cells together to express the idea of booming urban environment. The concept of adaption is expressed by the form which the grid addressed on an undulating curve. Also beneath the structure which provide an impressive experience for users to by establishing a sense of volume individual elements.

Design proposal for WATTLEGROVE RESIDENCE Melbourne, Australia Status: Design Proposal Under: Mercer School of Interior Design Role: Design The client Susannah and Karl Wright have engaged the interior decorating service for their home called Wattlegrove. The scope requires the works to be completed in two stage.For stage one, the time frame is three months, the works include design for the guest room and renovation for bathroom and laundry.For stage two, the time frame is another three months after stage one. The work includes the open plan kitchen, meals and living area. It is client’s favourite room where their grown-up children or friends will visit, gravitate and spilling out onto the decks on a nice weather day. Response to client’s needs and requirements.There are two different design approach to stage one and stage two. For the guest room, bathroom and laundry, the design idea is to create a relaxing room which can provide comfort to the user by using simple and practical finishing. Status: Design Proposal Under: Mercer School of Interior Design Role: Design The client requests to design and specify the custom decoration of the main bedroom in her two-level Boutique Apartment in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn. This apartment is located on Wallen Road and was a Melbourne Tramway depot and has been renovated into a residential complex.The client is in her late 40’s and has worked as a corporate executive in Shanghai for 20 years. Under client’s requirement, the total budget of this project is $ 80,000 and scheduled time schedule is 12 weeks.The design brief is to create a luxurious and calming private bedroom space with custom accessories and furniture. Considering the client’s passion for outdoor adventure and her needs for the bedroom as the sanctuary from the busy corporate world. The design proposal fucus on creating a space to energize the client and let her feel in a comfortable outdoor space by using natural color green and sun color orange to set the tone of the space.
