History Location Building Information

History of the Mission Bay Beginning in the mid-1800s, in attempts to make this area suitable for building, Mission Bay was used as a convenient place to deposit refuse from building projects and debris from the 1906 Earthquake . The area quickly became an industrial district. By 1850 the area was used for shipbuilding and repair, butchery and meat production, and oyster and clam fishing.

The history of Mission Bay mirrors that of San Francisco itself. The shallow waters of Mission Bay were created about 5,000 years ago, and for thousands of years more, this tidal bay remained a cove of calm, protected water, and a lush, natural feeding ground for a variety of insects, shellfish and birds. Native peoples came to take advantage of this bounty and began to settle the area. Then came the Spanish missionaries in 1775, building Mission Dolores to convert and teach the natives weaving and farming.

Theory of Fundamental Elements An ancient philosophical (Plato) theory of fundamental elements including Fire, Earth, Air and Water. Generate all natural entities and phenomena through numerous interactions.

The four basic elements to many pagans are Earth, Water, wind or spirit and Fire. Many consider the first two passive and feminine And the last two active and masculine. In native American rituals, the quartered circle Represents a “Sacred Space” or the Sacred Earth

By gathering all four elements which consists of Fire, Earth, Air and Water, I came up with the Fifth element. The fifth element binds the other four together, being the catalyst Of life. In Plato’s philosophy there is the most translucent kind which Include several natural phenomenon called by the name of Aether (Classical Elements) wAether also is a material that fills the regain of the universe

Plato was a philosopher, as well as mathematician, in Classical Greece. He is considered an essential figure in the development of philosophy, especially the Western tradition, and he founded the Academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the Western world. Along with his teacher Socrates and his most famous student, Aristotle, Plato laid the foundations of Western philosophy and science.[2] Alfred North Whitehead once noted: "the safest general characterization of the European philosophical tradition is that it consists of a series of footnotes to Plato.

The fifth element, called quintessence, is the substance that makes up the heavens the placement of each element in space forms the first cosmological model, Greek cosmology. Elements had a natural tendency to separate in space; fire moved outwards, away from the earth, and earth moved inwards, with air and water being intermediate. Thus, each of these five elements occupied a unique place in the heavens and, thus, Plato developed the first periodic table and, at the same time, proposed the first cosmological models looked something like the following diagram

He found that there are only five solid shapes whose sides are made from regular polygons (triangles, squares, pentagons, hexagons, etc) - for example, the cube. Plato was so impressed with this discovery that he was convinced that atoms of matter must derive from these five fundamental solids. But at the time the Greek periodic table consisted only of earth, water, air and fire (i.e. four atomic types). Therefore, Plato postulated that a fifth atomic type must exist which Aristotle later called `ether'. The heavens, and objects in the heavens (stars, planets, Sun) are composed of atoms of ether. This is perhaps the first example of the use of theoretical thought experiments to predict or postulate new concepts. In this case, the existence of a new form of matter, ether. And led to the formulation of a Universe that looked like the following: Plato’s belief comes from Zoroaster who was the Persian profit on ancient Persia. Greek sources place Zoroaster at 6000 years before the death of Plato which is 6350 B.C. In zoroastrians fire is the major symbol and has a central role in the most important religious ceremonies.

ZOROASTRIANISM Zoroastrianism originated over 3500 years ago in ancient Persia and represents a religious shift in human history, when polytheism began to give way to monotheism. To Zoroastrians, God is known as Ahura Mazda, which means “wise lord.” DIVINE LIGHT In Zoroastrianism, fire is a symbol of God’s divine light. It represents luminosity. Luminous things such as the sun, stars and fire signify warmth and energy, which are also attributes of God. To Zoroastrians, fire also represents wisdom and the illuminated mind
