“Ultimate instability” Aquabags ® uses the principle of hydro-inertia – the slowness of water – which challenges the body through instability: “Ultimate (in) Stability”. The entire body has to work hard to move the unstable water or to keep it under control. This not only trains the large muscle groups, but also all the muscles one normally easily forgets. The Aquabags ® contribute to ameliorate proprioception and body awareness because the unstable behaviour of the water requires perfect focus and correction by the body. There are many products on the market to enhance stability. These products almost all use an unstable base on which one has to sit or stand. With the Aquabags ®, however, instability is located in the weight itself! This principle makes exercises from e.g. revalidation workouts much more similar to real sports exercises and daily life.
