Our African business is now firmly afoot with our acquisition of a 40 people strong outfit based in Nairobi, Kenya. Africa is a growing part of our business where we have been working on the tallest tower in Africa as well as several mixed used development s acros s the continent. Our acquisition enables Meinhardt to have local presence in Rwanda and in addition to Nairobi.

Meinhardt will be formally inaugurating its new office in Cairo, Egypt, this month where we are working on one of the largest mixed use developments in the country. We are also in the process of setting up an office in Tehran where our Dubai office is again working on several mixed–used developments. The Middle East and Africa business remains a priority region for Meinhardt and we are committed to mobilize our best resources and people across our Group.

01 Aladdin City Dubai Aladdin City will feature three towers, designed to resemble Aladdin’s magic lamp, linked by bridges and walkways. The three towers will reach the height of 33, 24 & 25 storeys, this will include offices & hotels along with parking for 900 cars. Meinhardt is providing full spectrum of Engineering and Architectural services for the total GFA of 150,000m². 02

02 New Doha International Airport Expansion Doha, Qatar The new Hamad International Airport’s Passenger Terminal Expansion Project (PTCE) will bring this annual capacity from 24 million to 53 million passengers per year. Meinhardt is providing engineering design services for 3–storey terminal building expansion, concourse D&E, expansion of baggage handling, APM station, substructure for future connection to satellite terminal, underground services tunnel and utilities. Total area of the project is 537,259m². 03 Qatar Green Line Metro Qatar This project spans from Msheireb (Central Station) through to Education City and on to Al Rayyan. This project is essential in the delivery of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and is a key contributor to Qatar’s 2030 vision. 04 Hamad International Airport Terminal 1 Metro Station Doha, Qatar Station Box: The review of the existing 304m² x 25.1m² station box construction, provide appropriate water proofing, completion of box structure and complete fit–out of the station. Al Jazi garden project is a mixed–use project comprising of high–end residential apartments, offices and a shopping mall.
Didar Complex will be built on a plot area of 12,900m² in northern Tehran. This is a mixed used development project comprising of hotel and shopping centre. Meinhardt is providing structural engineering and design services for the retail façade structural glass façade and other building facades.

Meinhardt EPCM (Malaysia and India) In addition to the existing offices in Malaysia and India, Meinhardt has opened two new offices in Kuala Lumpur and Bengaluru to provide EPCM services. Through these branches we are providing Engineering and PM/CM services. We currently have over 70 people in these offices.

Meinhardt BA Africa Ltd. Meinhardt Group International Limited has strategically decided to acquire a firm operating in Kenya which is engaged in the principal activity of offering engineering consultancy services. The entity will be know as Meinhardt BA Africa Ltd. Meinhardt group will be one of the first Singapore firm to acquire and set up a subsidiary in East and Central Africa giving us immediate access to 7 countries in the region.

Expansion in Egypt and Iran Meinhardt Group is considering to expand its operations to Egypt and Iran within the next twelve months on the back of significant number of inquiries from its clients and as part of its overall growth plans for the region. The MENA region is one of the fastest growing regions for the Meinhardt Group.

Changi Airport Terminal 1 Upgrading Singapore Meinhardt were the Structural and MEP Engineer for the Terminal 1 (T1) Upgrading project. Works were carried out to refurbish the terminal’s interior design and finishes, as well as improve passenger flow at key areas such as the Departure Check–in Hall, Departure Transit Mall and Arrival Hall. Client: Changi Airport Group (CAG) Architect: Woodhead & Architects 61 Completion: 2012 Services: Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical & Façade Consultants: Meinhardt.
HAECO Hangars 1, 2 & 3A Chek Lap Kok, Lantau, Hong Kong Hangar 1 consists of a column free space for the maintenance of wide bodied aircrafts. Hangar 2 includes a three bay hangar for heavy maintenance; doors. Hangar 3 consists of 2 phases. Hangar 3A is a heavy maintenance hangar that can accommodate 3 wide body aircraft and a fully covered nose-in aircraft. Hangar 3B will be built at a later date. Master planning of Hangar 3B is however included in detailed design of Hangar 3A for any common facilities that may apply. Total GFA for Hangar 1,2 and 3A is: 92,038 m². Muscat International Airport Oman The project comprises $1.8 billion new passenger terminal for the Muscat International Airport. The new terminal will be designed to handle 12 million passengers annually and up to 24 million at later stage. Metro / Rail At Meinhardt, we understand the operational requirements of public transport systems, including rail systems, and how they are supposed to move people safely and reliably.
