Simultaneity reflects the importance of greenery amidst the rapid urbanization, while serving as a reminder to appreciate the nature around us.
With the blurring of private, semi-private and public spaces, Transpose encourages interactions between owners - customers through visual connections.
Enmesh presents to its inhabitants a village-like environment, through the incorporation of positive and negative volumes, with Jakarta’s informal characteristic.
Creative outlets outside of architecture, such as, pottery, hot glass, crochet and so on.
work exhibited in NUS TAS program: residential building
With Singapore’s rapid rate of urbanization, it is not a rare occurrence for the greenery to make way for the country’s further de velopment. Rather than choosing between urbanization and harmoniously unites the two by providing a non-hierarchical environment.
For its inhabitants, the architecture serves as a reminder to cherish nature through the simulation of an experience of nature doors.
Urbanization versus Greenery?
Fast displacement of greenery is attributable to Singapore’s banization. It is not a rare occurrence for greenery to make the country’s futher development.
Hence, Simultaneity.
Rather than making a choice, the project harmoniously by providing a non-hierarchichal space, where neither architecture greenery has a priority over the other.

program: shophouse typology cafe and residential unit
Breaking free from the customary shophouse layout, Transpose presents to its residents and customers a space where interactions between owners - customers are encouraged. The structure creates opportunity for both parties to connect visually through the line of sight.
With the organization of programs across the structure, the architecture allows for the boundaries of private, semi-private and public spaces to be blurred as people journey through.

work under The University of Sydney program: boarding house
In Jakarta’s context, informality plays a significant role in its culture and people’s lifestyle. Enmesh incorporates the use of positive and negative volumes (inspired by Batik, Jakarta’s national aboriginal art), and the country’s informal characteristics.
This presents to its inhabitants a village-like environment, where residents are inclined to actively participate and interact outside of the comfort of their homes, thereby creating a tight knitted bond amongst themselves.
