What are women's overall image of Country Peddler? “I like Country Peddler a lot. They have a very clean establishment and they house a very good selection of fashionable shoes, purses, clothing and decorations.” (Age: 21) “Seems like a nice enough store but focuses on the old women. They should try to relate to women my age more.” (Age: 28) “I have never seen advertisements from the store. Even though I have lived in Brookings for essentially my entire life, I don’t know what kind of merchandise it offers and I would say that my overall view of the store would be confusing and cluttered. The only people I see shopping there are older women who like knickknacks.” (Age: 22) “When I was there, it seemed like the racks were so full it was hard to see the clothing.” (Age: 51) “Advertise more. Emphasize up-to-date lines of clothes.” (Age: 58) “I like it, but it is very hard to find things. Everything is crammed in on racks and I feel flustered looking through it all. I think I would go there more if the presentation of clothing was more spread out.” (Age: 21)

Client Needs Analysis Country Peddler needs to build brand awareness with its younger demographic between the ages of 20 and 35. After conducting a survey with women in the Brookings community, the majority of university aged consumers either didn’t consider Country Peddler when shopping for clothing in Brookings or simply didn’t know about the store.
