Founded in 2008 by Nicola Russi and Angelica Sylos Labini. Laboratorio Permanente is based in Milan and has been commissioned projects worldwide. The studio develops projects that integrate innovation and a contemporary expression with a profound understanding of history and contextual thinking. Laboratorio Permanente has designed buildings and urban projects, took part in many international design competitions in architecture and urban design and has participated in the 14th and 16th Venice Biennale. In 2012, the studio won the Honor Mention for the Golden Medal for Italian Architecture. Has also developed projects with OMA and SANAA
