UnderWater Photos of Corfu.

Î¤he coastline of Corfu has a total length of 217 km and forms several bays, capes and caves. Its territory is mostly mountainous, and therefore has steep rocky beaches. All this creates an interesting underwater landscape with plenty of fish that lives there. Enjoy some of my photos taken from my action camera.

Corfu Airport plane shots

Corfu Airport is a world famous airport for one reason. The runway is very close to accessible areas, so, many humans enjoy airplanes landings or takeoffs while the planes pass over their heads Is an international airport, so you can imagine the traffic of the planes. The lake around the runway give us a lot of unique moments for shooting. Realy, we love airplanes so much !!!

Religious Events of Corfu Saint Spyridon, the Keeper of the City. In 1453, Spyridon's relics were moved to the island of Corfu from Constantinople, where they remain to this day, in Saint Spyridon Church. "Litany of St. Spyridon" on August 11 is a commemoration of St. Spyridon's role in the defence of the island in 1716 after Ottomans attack. This litany during the summer, attracts believers from all over the world. Many of them follows the saintâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Spyridon relic all the way of the litany.

Religious Events

Nature of Corfu Corfu is famous for its rich vegetation, but nature has endowed it with many and varied landscapes of incredible beauty, which makes it look like ... a continent in miniature. Mountains, lakes, lagoons, rivers, caves,waterfalls, wetlands, hills, meadows and countless beaches make up the rich natural wealth of the island.

Three hills are formed on the island's territory: The first one includes the tops of Pantokratoras (904m), Stravokkiadis (849m) and Tsoukas (619m). The second covers the central part, forming the peaks of Agioi Deka (529m) and Stavros (450m). The third covers the southern part of the Island.

The whole area of the prefecture is 641km² along with the Paxos and the Transit islands and its coastline has a total length of 217km

The nature of the island, in summary:

The ecosystems protected under Natura 2000 network, with very rich biodiversity, there are hundreds of species of birds, wild animals, insects and all kinds of plants and trees in the Mediterranean and beyond.

- 217 km coastline - 4 rivers - 11 small lakes - 2 Lagoons - 4 Waterfalls - 3 wetlands - 90 caves - 3 hills - 2 meadows

The terrain of Corfu is, to its greatest extent, flat. (63% flat, 35% semi-mountainous and 2% mountainous)

Fire Sparks on the Beach At the old times, the kids use to play with this. It was a kind of fireworks in the night. They found this to having fun all the kids together. Now, we make nice photos in nightscapes. Spinning and burning steel wool !!!
