Spring/Summer 2020

I Impact In Spring 2020, consumer attention will shift from a global conversation to one in their own backyards. Focusing on ideals of being self-sustaining, consumers shift to a more natural lifestyle, utilizing home-gardening and fabric dyeing. Conscious consumption will also be a major priority, with consumers placing high value on natural products and companies who offer them. Consumers will strive to make small positive impacts in their lives through thoughtful purchases and practices. Even in an urban setting, rural values will take hold, encouraging consumers to think locally.

Color Range

Spring/Summer 2020

Colors are heavily influenced by springtime as found in nature, and incorporate Pantone’s environmentallyfriendly TPG formulation. These colors can also be dyed at home, using vegetables and spices. Soft colors are anything but boring with pops of blue, orange, and green. A cool Ecru offers balance and grounds the colors in their natural landscape.

Materials and Details

Spring/Summer 2020

For materials, the focus is as much on transparency within the supply chain as it is on lovely draped fabrics and light wovens. Vegetable dyes, created using food waste in partnership with FoodTextile, offer a thoughtful way to get high-impact colors on cottons and linens without negative environmental effects. Fully traceable silk adds dimension to garments. Fabrics are highlighted for their breathability and drape. The deep thought put into these fabrications is as important as the ease that they offer.

10

11

Key Silhouettes

Functionality is key within Impact’s silhouettes, as the 2020 consumer isn’t afraid to get hands-on. The pairing of a semi-structured cotton shirt in leaf green and a wide legged pant in blue fog radiates the eco-conscious attitude of the consumer. But it’s not all serious- the front-tie of the shirt offers a playful feel.

Spring/Summer 2020

This dress carries the functionality of a shirt and pants, but in a more breezy context. It is as fitting for a farmer’s market as it is a home garden. The Ecru base and contrasting pockets are anything but boring, offering a lighthearted feel into an impactful garment.

13

Consumer Profile

Spring/Summer 2020

Impact woman Person

The Impact woman is thoughtful but lighthearted. She strives to limit her negative impact by home-growing fruits and vegetables, even if it is just in an apartment garden. She shops locally and, if possible, tries to create her products herself. She is likely in her mid-to-late twenties or early thirties, and has a strong connection to nature. She lives in or around a metropolitan area, but is more comfortable in open spaces. She highly values community, and can be found at her neighborhood farmer’s market and other local shops. While she is conscious about the broader impact of her decisions, she doesn’t take herself too seriously.

Spring/Summer 2020

II Reaction Norm core fashion has been dominating the trend for a few seasons and now it is finally the end of it! The market is slowly craving for something different, something new. Let us all welcome back the colours and fun in fashion for the next coming season. The tren “Reaction” is a reaction to minimal, simple, and tonal style. Fashions doesn’t have to be all serious and simple. It can be exciting and overwhelming! Inspired by 80’s art style, colours palette and energy and mixed with modern pop culture and sportswear, that is the birth of Post modernism fashion. Living true to Memphis Groups’s ideology, the component of asymmetry, fusion of materials and humorous yet unexpected objects are blended into fashion. The focus of spring/ summer 2020 is chromatic, kitsch and graffiti. Forget about less is more and start saying the more the merrier.

21

Color Range

Spring/Summer 2020

In the coming season, taking away tonal, subtle earthy tones and introducing more vibrant, youthful and spring like colours to the palette. Reaction is statement making, attention grabbing. Taking a gradual shift from norm core fashion, the colours are softer and less saturated comparing to the colour pallets of the 80s post modernism art. However, the boldness is visible thought the mix of contrasting colours.

23

Spring/Summer 2020

Materials and Details

Spring/Summer 2020

Inspired by 80s post modernism, the fabrics are a mx of natural fibre and synthetic materials. From the organic fibre of cotton to man made material plastic and rubber; the natural shine from cotton sateen to artificial reflectiveness of PVC and Vinyl. The season is big on contrasts and mergence. Some dominating fabrics of the season of spring/summer 2019 are fine gauge rib knits, cotton sateen, mesh, PVC, Vinyl and silk organza.

24

25

Key Silhouettes

The key shapes of Reaction consist of the quality of asymmetry, layers and looser fits. The concept of this trend is to allow the wear to layer on several garments to create they’re unique looks. Given the chance to mixing and matching different materials and colours is the new trend of spring/ summer 2020.

Spring/Summer 2020

The garments are constructed with several seaming, decorative seam lines through out to divide the body. Such as the one above, using the idea of colour blocking, the designer have filled in different prints in different panel to create an interesting division of the body. Adding a twist to a simple dress.

People who want to go to travel with lesser money for a long time and have special memory are the key points of this travel, but still they have intention to spend little money for staying like guest house or air bnb, unlike backpackers do not want to spend money on those and minimize amount of money they spend.
