Institut Teknologi Bandung Architecture Design Competition - Bandung, West Java, Indonesia

DESCRIPTION Institut Teknologi Bandung, as one of the best academic institution in Indonesia, has a great number of achievements and is considered by world of industry. Based on that reputation, Institut Teknologi Bandung intend to provide various international standard facilities. Therefore, in 2010, Institut Teknologi Bandung planned to establish three new buildings in the northern of the complex. The aim of this architecture design competition was to obtain the best architectural schematic design that would be furtherdeveloped in technical drawing for construction purpose. The team consists of my lecture as well as my supervisor in Architectural Design Studio IV in Institut Teknologi Bandung, me and two partners as a student of Bachelor in Architecture in Institut Teknologi Bandung. As a Junior Architect, I was responsible in developing the idea and concept of the building itself as well as the surrounding. In addition, three of us as a Junior Architect, had to incorporate Baskoro Tedjo’s ideas as the leader of the team, with our own ideas. I contributed in developing the main concept into conceptual design document such as plans, sections, elevation and 3D modelling through sketch and several computer programs such as 2D CAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Photoshop 3d modeling by Melissa, Bayu, Donald & 3d visualisation by Lintang

Introduction

Passenger Terminal Lombok International Airport - Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia

DESCRIPTION West Nusa Tenggara is one of the province in Indonesia that is developing in various sector for the past 10 years. Tourism was one of the sector that has grown dramatically since 2007. Moreover, there are three main modes of transportation to reach Lombok as the capital of its province. Air transport is the most favourite mode of transportation for tourists to reach Lombok. The aim of this project was to design a new passenger terminal of Lombok International Airport, since the previous passenger terminal could no longer accommodate the number of local and international passenger. The main issue was to create passenger terminal which had a high level of efficiency as well as effectiveness and applied distinctive local elements of Lombok As my final project, I was fully responsible in developing the ideas and concept of the building as well as the surrounding, collecting data of the previous passenger terminal, making further studies on the project, preparing the presentation documents, and completing final report. I contributed in developing the main concept into schematic design presentation document includes sketches, plans, sections, elevations, details, 3D modeling, and models through several computer program such as 2D CAD, SketchUp, Artlantis, 3Ds Max, and Adobe Photoshop 3d Modeling and Visualisation by Melissa

energy efficiency Energy efficiency is the main concern for this passenger terminal building. The first concept is to maximize the use of indirect sunlight during the daytime to decrease the energy consumption on artificial lights. Secondly, this building mixed with trees and vegetation inside and outside which will bring more values in design as well as to generate more oxygen through the building.
