Melissa Hardcastle I am a hard working, organised, conscientious and innovative young designer keen to work in the field of Graphic Design.
Education: Attended St John Fisher High School 11 GCSE’s consisting of 5 A’s, 5 B’s and 1 D.

Attended St John Fisher & St Aidan’s associated Sixth Form Psychology AS Level. Fine Art (C), English Language (C) and Photography (B) A Level.

I did my Foundation in Art & Design at York College Passed with Merit.

Work:
I worked at a high fashion French dressing shop in Harrogate during 2008 where my roles included sales assistant, visual merchandising of the accessory cabinet and window dressing, as well as standard duties (answering the phone, stock take, store maintenance and customer care). Currently employed at a local Cafe/Bistro in the town centre of Harrogate where my roles stretch further than usual waitress duties. I manage the bar, and have assistant manager like roles. In addition to this I have also designed and produced the A-board that stands outside the restaurant.
Skills, services and ability:
Very good at generating ideas, problem solving, group & individual work, planning and organising. Conceptually strong, contextually aware and confident in both presentation and written skills. Confident in using Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and all Microsoft Software.
