INTRODUCTION TO WORDPRESS WordPress is an online, open-source website creation tool written in PHP. In non-geek speak, it's probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system (or CMS) in existence today.


WHAT IS PHP?

PHP is probably the most popular scripting language on the web. Used to enhance web pages. Does things like create username and password login pages, check details from a form, create forums, picture galleries, surveys, and a whole lot more.


WHAT IS HTML? HyperText Markup Language. HyperText is the method by which you move around on the web — by clicking hyperlinks which bring you to the next page. Markup is what HTML tags do to the text inside them. They mark it as a certain type of text (italicised text, for example). HTML is a Language.


WHAT IS CSS?

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for describing the look and formatting of a document written in a markup language. Defines how HTML elements are displayed Stored in CSS files
