Mess Order

Statement: In complex living systems, as a fundamental pattern of dynamic self organization, there is periodic, rhythmic dance between order and chaos. With moments of stability and transformation in between, the system continually seeks a new balance. As the facts reorganize, overbuild and exploit, they move against conserving which moves the system closer to the edge of chaos. ‘Architect’s desire to create a “better life style”, while disregarding the complexity of dynamic systems; disregarding the balance between mess and order, moves the system closer to the edge of an architectural chaos.

Who does architecture/architect serve to? While building for thousands, does architecture abstract the user? Does politics of architecture control the building and structuring of space? Who can architecture serve to? What is an ‘architectural chaos’? Which is more chaotic: order becoming a mess or a messed up order?

Role of Architect >Architects see the big picture. >Architects are specially educated to help you deďŹ ne what you want to build, present options you might never have considered, and help you get the most for your valuable investment. They don't just design four walls and a roof -- they create total environments, both interiors and exteriors, that are functional and exciting places in which to work and live. >Architects solve problems creatively. Architects are trained problem solvers. Need more room for your growing family? Architects can show you how to enlarge your home so you won't have to move. Have a limited budget? Architects can propose ways to get more for your investment than you imagined possible. >Architects help you get the most from your construction dollar. >Architects can reduce building costs, decrease your home's energy needs, and increase its future resale value through good design. >Architects make your life easier.

"Listen, everybody over there is going to be what? An architect, and architects design buildings for who? Wealthy people. They are not going to design, anything for anybody like us and those kids they know it, so they say what do I need to know them for, they are poor…”
