Introduction Studying royal biographies has always been a passion and something I've always been interested in. There were many queens, kings, princes and princesses who I learned to like their life stories and I was able to contribute with their biographies about 20 or 25 years ago. Maria Teresa Rafaela of Spain, in French, Marie Thérèse Antoinette Raphaëlle, was born in Real Alcázar de Madrid on June 11, 1726 and died at the Palace of Versailles on July 22, 1746. She was an infant of Spain by birth and Delfina of France by marriage through a power of attorney with Louis, Delfim of France belonging to Casa Bourbon. She was the daughter of King Philip V of Spain with his second wife, Princess Isabel Farnesian. She has always been my real favorite, with her beauty, elegance, sophisticated lifestyle and sweetness that has completely won me over.
My studies and education during my adolescence were conducted by the clerks at the Palace of Versailles, where Infanta lived while married and died very young. His paintings can be found in the palace and other royal properties. His velory cerimony was a great event of general commotion in Europe. In this book I organized some of his main records painted by renowned European artists who passed by the Palace of Versailles, a place where little was left and everything I knew about the rest of the world was through reports and records from his royal home.
