WHICH PATH WILL YOU CHOOSE? BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (CO-OPERATIVE) (B.COMM): A structured five-year program perfect for students looking for work experience to complement knowledge gained in the classroom. Students complete three paid work terms and may undertake placements in all Canadian provinces or abroad. Students may complete joint degrees of bachelor of commerce (co-operative) and bachelor of arts. BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA): Consisting of the same core courses as the bachelor of commerce (co-operative), the BBA allows additional flexibility and can be completed in four years of full-time study or over a longer period of part-time study. The program can be completed on campus, through online learning or a combination of both. INTERNATIONAL BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (iBBA): A four-year program designed to prepare business professionals capable of performing successfully across international borders and in diverse regulatory and cultural environments. Students must complete a mandatory semester abroad in their chosen region of interest.

CONCENTRATIONS Students may focus their studies in one of the following areas: • Accounting • Finance • Human resources and labour relations • Information systems • International business • Marketing • Operational research • Resource-based industries management • Small business and entrepreneurship • Supply chain management


Students may apply for direct entry into the faculty from high school, subject to meeting the general admission requirements for Memorial University.

STUDY ABROAD OPPORTUNITIES Students may choose to study at one of over 40 partner institutions worldwide. Students who study abroad benefit from a crosscultural experience, making new friends and gaining a competitive edge in today’s global environment. Exchange options are available throughout Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and New Zealand. Students may also opt to complete a semester at Memorial’s Harlow Campus in England.

FAST FACTS • We were the first business faculty in Atlantic Canada to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) — the highest distinction business schools can earn world wide — and our commerce program is accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE). • The Faculty of Business Administration distributes more than $200,000 in awards, scholarships and bursaries each year. • Access first-class technologies through our White Trading Lab, a state-of-the-art financial management facility equipped with Bloomberg terminals. • Gain practical experience through involvement with student clubs and societies such as AIESEC Memorial, Edge Capital Investment Club and International Business Club. • Develop skills through activities such as MUN Business Day, the John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition and peer tutoring. • Memorial’s Network of International Business Schools (NIBS) Worldwide Case Competition team has one of the best success records of any business school in the country. • Enactus Memorial has won the national championship 10 times and the world cup twice, in 2008 and 2016. They are the most successful team in Canada and the only Canadian team to ever win the world cup. • Bachelor of commerce (co-operative) students have a paid work term placement rate of nearly 100 per cant.
