SETTING THE SCENE • Memphis hosts Christian Brothers Friday, Nov. 11 in the Tigers’ second exhibition contest of the 2011-12 season. Game time is 8 p.m. (CT) at FedExForum. The Tigers’ game follows the women’s squad season opener versus Saint Louis, which is slated for a 5 p.m. (CT) tip. • The Tigers are ranked in both preseason national polls, coming in No. 11 in the Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll. • Memphis defeated LeMoyne-Owen College 119-67 in its first exhibition game Nov. 2. • Memphis returns all five starters and 10 letterwinners from last year’s squad. • Christian Brothers enters Friday’s exhibition after a 76-54 exhibition contest loss at Arkansas Nov. 8. • The Buccaneers return three starters and 12 letterwinners from last year’s squad.
