SETTING THE SCENE • Memphis (14-6, 5-1 C-USA) closes its threegame homestand Saturday, Jan. 28 when it hosts the Marshall Thundering Herd (13-7, 4-2 C-USA) in a Conference USA showdown at FedExForum. The game, to be televised on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS), is slated for an 8 p.m. (CT) start. • The Tigers were not ranked or listed in the Also Receiving Votes category of both national polls, which were released Jan. 23. Marshall is not ranked in either national poll. • Memphis enters Saturday’s encounter having won eight of its last nine. • The Tigers bounced back after its Jan. 18 loss at UCF with consecutive wins over SMU 63-45 Jan. 21 and Rice 73-51 Jan. 25. • Prior to the Jan. 18 setback to UCF, the Tigers had won six straight with victories over Rob-
