SETTING THE SCENE • Memphis (20-8, 10-3 C-USA) takes to the road Saturday, Feb. 25 when it travels to Huntington, W.Va., to face Marshall (17-10, 8-5 C-USA) in a Conference USA clash. The game, to be televised on SportSouth (Comcast digital channel 52), is slated for a 3 p.m. (CT) start. • The Tigers did not appear in the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today coaches national polls this week (Feb. 20). Marshall was not ranked in either national poll. • Memphis enters Saturday’s encounter having won 14 of its last 17. • The Tigers bounced back after their Feb. 18 loss to UTEP with a 70-47 victory over East Carolina Feb. 22. • Prior to the narrow 60-58 loss to UTEP, Memphis had won four straight with victories over Xavier 72-68, East Carolina 70-59, UAB 79-45 and Tulane 82-64. • The Thundering Herd are on a three-game win streak with Conference USA victories over East Carolina 78-68 (home), SMU 73-68 (road) and Houston 66-58 (home).
