SETTING THE SCENE • Memphis (1-0) meets Michigan (3-0) in the opening game of the EA Sports Maui Invitational Championship Round on Monday, Nov. 21. The game, to be televised on ESPN2, is slated for a 2 p.m. (CT) start at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui, Hawaii. • The Tigers are ranked No. 10 in both the Associated Press (AP) and the ESPN/USA Today coaches polls, which were released Nov. 14. The Wolverines are ranked No. 17 in both national polls. • Memphis won its season opener Nov. 15 with a 97-81 win over Belmont at FedExForum. The game was an EA Sports Maui Invitational opening game. • The Tigers also won their two exhibitions with victories over LeMoyne-Owen College 119-67 Nov. 2 and Christian Brothers 79-56 Nov. 11. • Memphis returns all five starters and 10 letterwinners from last year’s squad. • Michigan opened the 2011-12 season with wins over Ferris State 59-33 on Nov. 11, Towson 6447 on Nov. 14 and Western Illinois 59-55 on Nov. 17. • The Wolverines return four starters and 12 letterwinners from last year’s team that posted a
