SETTING THE SCENE • Memphis hosts North Florida Monday, Nov. 12 in the Tigers’ 2012-13 season and home opener. Game time is 6:30 p.m. (CT) at FedExForum. The contest is set for a Comcast Sports South (CSS) telecast. • The Tigers are ranked in both preseason national polls, coming in No. 17 in the Associated Press poll and No. 16 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll. The first 2012-13 regular season polls are scheduled for release Nov. 12. • Memphis played its lone exhibition game last week and posted a 65-54 victory over Christian Brothers (see exhibition boxscore on page 3). • Memphis returns four starters and 11 letterwinners from last year’s squad.
