Notes T h e R oa d S o F a r The Tigers enter the seventh week of conference play in the American, with only one game on the schedule for the weekend as travel partner Temple University travels to Memphis to take on the Tigers at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The Tigers entered conference play with an 8-5 record, sporting identical 2-1 records in each of the four weekend tournaments where they competed in addition to a midweek loss to Arkansas State. Spending the first two weekends of conference play on the road, the Tigers split the first weekend against Louisville and Cincinnati and then lost to Temple the following weekend. Memphis returned to the Elma Roane Fieldhouse for a home stand of five games in nine days. The Tigers dropped the first three games, to SMU, Houston and Tennessee State, but recovered to take down Rutgers and UConn to finish out the home stand. The Tigers finished the first half of their conference season when they traveled to Florida to take on USF and UCF, dropping both matches 3-1. The team returned to the Elma Roane Fieldhouse for the start of the second half of the conference season. The Tigers defeated the Cincinnati Bearcats Friday evening, extending their home winning streak to three games, but then were felled by the Louisville Cardinals Sunday afternoon. Laurens Hawkins leads the Tigers with 242 total kills, one of three hitters to have passed the 200-mark. Catlin Lilly leads the team with a 3.25 kill per set average, but has only appeared in 73 sets, giving her 237 total kills. Senior Viktorija Teviane has a 2.22 kill per set average in 92 sets, giving her 204 total kills. Veronica Zimmerman sits just shy of the 1,000-assist plataeu, with 991 on the year, giving her an average of 10.43 per set.
