2014 QUICK FACTS
VENUE: Hearns Center Fieldhouse LOCATION: Columbia, Mo.
SETTING THE SCENE University of Memphis track and field squads return to action, on Friday, at the Missouri Invitational. The event will provide ample opportunity for the Tigers to compete and improve as they push through the half-way point of the indoor track and field season. “We’ll get to compete with some high quality teams, but the numbers won’t be so great that we don’t get the reps in that we need,” head track and field coach Kevin Robinson said. “We’re just now starting to learn who we are competitively. I do believe every time we set foot on a track we get better. I think the team is very close and a cohesive unit that has learned to rely on each other.”
The meet will be held at the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Missouri. The facility features a six-lane 200m track with eight sprint lanes on the straightaway. The one-day meet begins at 2 p.m. with a full slate of field and track events on tap. Results from the Missouri Invitational will be posted on GoTigersGo.com as they are made available.
