Still Looking for Conference Home Win Maybe the Tigers need to come to the home match via team bus. Memphis is 5-2 in conference road games. That should have Memphis in great shape in the league standings, except Memphis is 0-5 in league home games now with a match against league-leading SMU on the slate to start this weekend. The Tigers have lost three straight now, including two straight matches at home, and are in the midst of a season-long five match home stand that includes three home matches in the next six days. Memphis will follow up the Friday night match vs. SMU with a Sunday contest against Tulsa and a Wednesday night match against travel partner Cincinnati. Memphis won at both Tulsa and Cincinnati earlier this season, so both teams are looking to return the favor in the Fieldhouse. Zimmerman 43 Assists Shy of 4,000 Redshirt senior setter Veronica Zimmerman is just 43 assists shy of hitting the 4,000 career assist mark heading in to the weekend’s play. Zimmerman, who missed her true freshman season while recovering from a knee injury suffered in high school, has now played in 110 career matches and almost 400 career sets of volleyball. She currently ranks fifth in The American with 8.93 assists per game and will be just the fourth Memphis setter in school history to dish out 4,000 or more career assists.
