Concept
CADENCE IN THE MAZE The interior design’s use of structure performs spatially, creating three-dimensional forms of space that capture the strong rhythm of trap music in the cadence inflection to build a psychedelic maze ambiance. Applying the idea to the design is brings a complex construction and varied textures in a dark, mysterious space to escape their reality.
Cultural Background
HIP-HOP
music, also known as rap music, have originated from the African American communities of South Bronx, New York City in the early 1970’s. “Rap consists of content, flow, and delivery. Content refers to what’s being said; flow is how it rhymes and its rhythm; delivery is the tone and speed in which it’s spoken.” TRAP HIP-HOP is a popular sub-genre of hip-hop music known for various rhyme and rhythm. This rap music comes in with a gangsta, club feel, and the music hypnotizes and makes you feel like you’re in a dark maze or trap itself.

IDEATION
Spade shape display cases hang behind the glass that catches passengers’ attention. It not only can highlight the latest or classic products here, but it also can protect them from damage that dust or ultraviolet (UV) light can cause.
The display case legs transformed from the spade logo.
The screens work together through a transformed spade pattern to create large-scale dimensional separators. These partitions are behind the Entrance hall and Fitting room, which separate the public and private spaces. RETAIL DESIGN 18
