Finding a suitable partner for yourself is finding the needle in the haystack. You might come across a lot of people who would seem to be the ideal companion, but when it comes to actually being in a relationship with someone, life can be very difficult. You would find your relationship to be more like a piece of cake but slowly you’ll realize that you’ve made the biggest mistake of your life committing to a person who doesn’t deserve any of it. We all have flaws. There’s no one who you’d find spotless and clean. But then, there are those who are NOT meant TO be with you. Your life will become more of a live circus or a living hell rather than what you dreamed of. Falling for the “perfect one” is a myth but striving to find one is what gives you hope. In order to keep your hopes up high, we’ve compiled a list 9 toxic personalities that can and would certainly be a pain for your relationship. Hence, you need to stay away from them when you’re penning down what kind of a person you want in your life. The abusive one Abusers are the wrong kind of people. They can never be the loving sorts and will always be the harmful one among you. You might think that the abusive nature is containable but when there’s something in your habit, you can still change it.
However, if it becomes a personality, you never know when you’ll be at the receiving end of the abuse which you obviously do not want. The volcanic personalities are the ones who carry a lot of anger under their skin and when the volcano blows, you will certainly get burned. The Narcissist A narcissist is someone who is all about himself/herself and considers themselves to be a God’s gift to humankind. This person values themselves over everyone else. They know everything about everything and their knowledge is incomparable. You might find them all the happy-clappy kind of people in the beginning, but when the difference of opinion will start surfacing, you would see their true colors. At the end, it will always be their needs, their wants, what makes them happy and so on. You will be negligible in the relationship. They deserving your support, you have all the chances to be turned down when you look up to them, you will fall down on your face. The unwillingness to compromise, lack of understanding and no empathy are some character traits of a narcissist. Would you be interested in investing in a relationship that is not about you but all about your "narcissist" person? The Puppeteer We all know what a “puppeteer” is. He/she is a person who manipulates and controls objects. Well, if you take a closer look, you’ll find people around you who have features of a puppeteer. They are the ones who’ll control every move of yours. Whether it where you’re going, what you’re eating, whom you are meeting up with, what you are shopping and so much more. Being a blogger, I have people coming up talking about solutions to their relationship problems. One of them came up and said that her partner was obsessed with everything that I wear. She would have her choice even in the men’s underwear styles that I have. Likewise, no matter what outfit I wear, she’d get it changed to something that she wants. There are numerous others who keep a watch on their friend’s group, and even go up to an extent of stalking their social networking websites. You deserve so much better than this person. Stay away from them. The ever-melancholic Life is stressful. Work sucks big time. There are very reasons that bring happiness and one of them is relationships. Relationships with your family, friends and obviously your partner is one source of happiness that doesn’t fade out. Think about a person who’s 20hours negative and 4hours sleeping. How are you going to survive? We know that everything has two sides - positive and negative. But is it important to always be on the negative side of the coin? Can’t you flip the coin and look at the positives and be the optimistic person? How will you ever be happy with so much negativity in life and more importantly - your relationship? You wouldn’t be able to enjoy anything with this person. Whether it is the shopping day or a dinner date to relieve the stress, you are carrying your share of stress with you all the time.
The liar Nobody likes a liar. No matter how many lies we tell in a relationship, but we all want a partner who does not lie. If you have a person with you who lies to his/her parents, he/she will definitely lie to you at some or the other point of time. As well all know - a relationship is all about building the tower with love and HONESTY (and not lies). Small things or big, with a reason or without, lies are just plain lies. They have never done well to anyone. The cheater A cheater will always be a cheater no matter how many promises he/she makes, you’d find the feature inbuilt in them for some reason. You need no other reason to stay when you have figured out that the person is a cheater. If you are in a relationship with someone like this, you need to break up and find a life for yourself or else if you are looking for a suitable person, you need to be Sherlock Holmes for that. Whether it is checking the person’s phone directory or the social networking accounts, you would get an idea about what kind of a person you’re dealing with. I know a person who’s married and is cheating on her husband with some other guy. The reason being that her husband wasn’t able to fulfill her financial needs and she had no option other than to move on. The Drunkard How are you going to handle misbehavior of a person who’s not even aware that they’re misbehaving? You might see a different version of them throughout the day whereas; the night becomes a nightmare when they come home drunk. Both men and women get drunk, but what matters is drinking within the limit of staying in their senses is acceptable, but when things go out of hands, life gets messy and relationships become weak. You might have a partner who drinks occasionally with you (and some friends) and is quite comfortable getting a little high (and adorable). Then there are those who get drunk and make sure everyone around them knows that they are drunk. Loud attitude, nasty comments, abusive language and other traits are some of the many that you would have to deal with. Will you be able to handle them? The Dementor You would have heard the term DEMENTOR in the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J. K. Rowling. They are the evil creatures who suck the soul out of the body of humans leaving them merely as shells. There are people in reality who do the same. You might also have seen the movie “The Proposal” where Sandra Bullocks is a pain in the vein of all the employees at work. Though the movie was hilarious, you’d have such people in real life who suck you from within. My parents were an example of the same. My dad was the dementor whereas; my mum was the one who always had to be the victim of the situation. Life becomes no lesser than hell when you have someone like them in life and there’s no escape from the situation.
The anti-social An anti-social person is someone who avoids all the possible times and ways where they come face to face with people. They don’t have an account on social networking sites, they don’t like going to parties, or to watch movies and practically everything that you find fun. While there are chances you don’t meet them at any such place (because they don’t hang around), if you come across a person like this, you should take an about-turn and walk away. They are definitely the ones who empathize a lot, but they’ll also be the ones who can get very irritated and show signs of extreme anger when they are upset. Be sure to step into a relationship when you’ve known the person quite well.
