WELCOME TO OUR 4TH MENSANA FEST – CARLOW’S MENTAL HEALTH WEEK Carlow Mental Health Association introduced Mensana Fest in 2010 to raise awareness of mental health in Carlow. Mensana Fest 2013 offers people practical ways to maintain and improve their mental health. People from all walks of life are encouraged to learn, talk, reflect and engage with others on all issues relating to mental health during Mensana Fest. We all have mental health. Mental health is more than the absence of mental illness. It’s a state of overall mental and physical health and well-being. But maintaining good mental health in today’s hectic and stress-filled society is a challenge. It is estimated that at least 1 in 4 Irish people experience mental health problems each year, and mental health issues indirectly affect us all at some time through a family member, friend or colleague. The fact is, we are all touched in some way by mental health issues. Join us for Mensana Fest 2013, where we have a range of activities to encourage you to maintain and promote your positive mental health. From a cup of coffee in our “Pop Up” Rainbow Café to Mindfulness, We would like to say a massive thank you a series of to all those who are supporting this years information talks Mensana Fest, from the use of buildings, to learning to play lending furniture, peoples time and basketball!
