01 Mother’s Serenity Retreat Centre Year: 2016 Location: Kandang Kerbau Hospital Project Type: Interior Design This project is about creating a space on Post Natal & Confinement Care for post-pregnancy mothers to recover in their one-month postpartum period. This project aims to provide an environement that helps postpregnancy mothers in recovering their health, through the relief of physical, psychological & social needs.

Site Analysis Why KKH? KKH is a hospital that is in the centre of the city. It focuses on catering to women and children. Having this project at a commercial estate will brand the project as trustworthy. Thus, the main reason in choosing business affiliated location, assures mothers of their healthcare.
Opportunities -Women’s Tower location is an advantage to be informed of the Post Natal Confinement Centre. It makes people more aware. -Business Affiliation with the hospital to have medication quality / welfare assured.

Cooking Studio The Cooking Studio is an educational activity that gives mothers an opportunity to learn about cooking simple dishes for their baby’s growth and also for their own health. It is design to be in a circular/radial organization to eliminate typical classroom learning environment. Instead, it aims to encourage mothers to be more open up about any concern regarding the topic. Eg. baby food allergies

Eco Theraphy Garden Minimum exercise is a must for mothers in their daily life. This is to move the muscle in their body so that it doesn’t cause any potential illness in the future. Since they could not move much, steps are created as it direct them to where they want to go. A specific plants is chosen to be planted which is herbal plant that benefits the mothers

Motivational Messages Wall
Refuge Spaces are created with the intention of counselling in the garden where they can feel calm and relaxed which helps them to open up about their problems. It could also be a gathering space for mothers to bond.
Its a customised pin-up board made out of sponge and octagonal shape overlayed for texture. It’s to encourage other mothers to put up their expereince on the wall so that they would learn from one another.

Yoga Room The 2-functional room act as an informal learning environment. I designed it to create a more open and comfortable area to learn yoga or new-born lesson. The customized hidden table is designed in a octagon which gives the idea of everyone being involved since each person will be facing everyone in a circular way.

Nursing Room Only for mothers. For those mothers who are not staying here but coming only for the treatment, a nursing room that is private for women only to do their breastfeeding and diaper changing.

Mother’s Room Level 2 is a more private areas where the mothers stay in the confinement centre for 30 days. To provied mother the best comfort for their stay, carpeted flooring, motorized bed sofa for their breastfeeding and movable baby cord is provided.

02 Mongolia Project Cool School: The Foliage Year: 2014 Location: Mongolia Project Type: Architecture & Interior Design I was invovled in this group competition with my Evironmental Deisgn school mates to design a school. It is a competition to design for an extreme cold climate. The challenge is to propose a school building which will act as a safe, comfortable, learning environment for 100 pupils withstanding the extreme temperatures in Mongolia. A well designed school environment has a huge impact on a child’s academic progress over a year as much as 25%.A school that considers lighting, ventilation, environmental conditions, materials, space, comfort, accessibility, adaptability and aesthetics. Library Foldable tables and chairs by the side wall to create a space for story telling in a group, this is ideal for the lower primary students. To make the space more interesting so students will want to study and read books,, the shleves were made in a curve form and sofas are placed at their comfort.

Multi-Purpose Hall The multi-purpose hall is used as a gathering space for students to assemble when needed. Its also used to carry out physical activities indoor, be it class activities or for free time. Since the hall is the focal point of the entire area, we have made moveable panels all around and also larger sliding glass door to allow accessbility from all sides

Classroom As a whole, the classroom will be a space where students will be at most of the time when they are in school, hence, we designed it to be multi-functional for both teachers and students to store their belongings. This encourages students and teachers to interact more with one another more often.

Staffroom An open plan enhance a spacious environment and visual connections within the spaces that holds different actions. Although is unites them as one, it still provides sufficient privacy to do work. Gathering space by the sides are incorporated within the staff toom to make it easier for interactions between teachers and student as an individual. This helps to discuss their education at a more private manner.

Doctor Room The doctor’s room consist of bookcase that also funcions as a partition wall for privacy, introducing blue gradients. This creates a calm and relaxing environment in contrast with the adjacent staff room area that have warm and bright accent colours.
Meeting Room Set in an unconventional setting, this space holds gathering space to hold meetings and discuss ideas. The seating area are raised and accessed via stairs while the platform infront is for presentation wise.

03 Micro Apartment Design Year: 2015 Location: Apartment size 5m x 5mx 5m Project Type: Interior Design The main idea of this project is to create one open flexible space, since the users of the apartments are not known at the moment. The interior arrangement is mainly free, with one service box that contains bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and living room necessity. These are all optimized according to the materials to be used and equipment modules.

Micro Apartment The Micro Apartment Design size, 5m x 5m x 5m. It was inspired to by the Japanese lifetyle of having multi functional furnitures to form multifuctional spaces. The space only consist of what’s necessary. This is an assignment to make an animation of its interior for 30 sec long.

04 Habitat for Humanity Year: 2014 Location: Batam Project Type: Architecture & Interior Design This project aims to design a home for the disadvantaged people in Batam. Location from Singapore. While Batam benefits from her close proximity to Singapore in terms of job-creation for the local populace working for Singapore-linked companies, the level of poverty in Batam is worrisome. Habitat Singapore works closely with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia to bring positive impact to thousands of disadvantaged people in Batam. This project consist of 8 people and I am one of them. School Of Design, Architectural Booth The booth was done to complement each architecture course to each other. Hence, Retail and Hospitality Design was placed next to Interior Architecture design which was placed next to Environmental design. It is a cost-friendly budget Open House. We used mostly recycle items and spot lighting to enhance each works and give differentiate each course.

07 Designathon : Revers(A)ge Year: 9-10 January 2016 Location: National Design Centre Project Type: Product Industrial Design My classmates and i decided to join the Designathon 2016 competition to broaden our knowledge on product design and its problem-solving solutions. Designathon is 36 hour challenge to enhance the experience of ageing. How might we enable the elderly to continue living life with dignity, grace and equanimity? The project was to address the theme Living Beautifully: Designing for the Golden Years, and propose some design concepts. For Elderlys who loves be engaged, Revers(a)ge is designed to encourage social interactions between neighbours. Inspired by Reversi, the product is interactive and fun to play. Users with a Passion/Ezlink Card, they can participate in a multiplayer game and win points to redeem for vouchers and/or offset their purchases in certain stores.
HOW
TO
USE:
Step 1: Place passion card in the card area. Step 2: Play the game. Screen will show points accumulated during the game. Step 3: End of game, the points will be added into the card for redemption.
OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME: The game is for two players just like chess, checkers and go. Black and white, the dark and the light, the good and the bad battle each other for victory. Rever(a)ge is a very dynamic board game; the board position can change dramatically with each move. You can play a turn when you flank one or more opponents prism between your new prism and any other of your own prism, in the same horizontal, vertical or diagonal line. The opponents prism that are flanked will be turned upside-down and change colour. This turning is called flipping.
