Overview: The webinar focuses on the patient safety issues surrounding use of PCA. The vast majority of adverse events related to PCA deal with patient selection, inadequate monitoring, inappropriate regimens, pump issues, and poor understanding of the risks involved. Monitoring patients on PCA with pulse oximetry alone is insufficient and may give a false sense of security.
