the collection Spring / Summer ‘15 starts in Chipiacul, Guatemala. We found inspiration in the tradtional belt that adorns the women’s traje of Chipiacul. There is a story behind each symbol and pattern in every collection, just as there is in each huipil that the Mayan women wear.
We’ve paired these elements with intricate hand-detailing, a crisp awning stripe, and our favorite texture-rich San Juan brocade. The collection features functional shapes in a black and white palette with highlights of bold color. Italian leather and antique brass hardware add rich detailing to round out each piece.
The authentic Mayan weave of the women’s belt focuses on bold stripe variations and heavy texture.
