Bradley Reeves graduates from Simpson University

radley Reeves of Bakersfield graduated with high honors from Simpson University with a bachelor's degree in Bible and theol-
ogy. Simpson University's graduation ceremony took place on April 26. One hundred and twenty-seven undergraduates received their diplomas. Simpson University, founded in PHOTO PROVIDED 1921, has an undergraduate Bradley Reeves enrollment of more than 750 students and offers degrees in 27 majors. From its beginnings, Simpson University has sought to be a Christ-centered learning community committed to developing each student in mind, faith, and character for a lifetime of meaningful work and service. Local grad receives Hardin-Simmons Scholarship BY JANLYN THAXTON Community contributor

aige West of Bakersfield was awarded the Edwina Ham Endowed Scholarship at the 2014 Irvin School of Education reception on the HardinSimmons University campus on April 14. Students who receive the scholarships are preparing for careers in teaching, athletic training, sports medicine, fitness, and sports sciences. Hardin-Simmons University HSU has an enrollment of approximately 2,300 undergrad and graduate students from 31 states and 12 countries. HSU has a 12-to-1 student faculty ratio with a campus that sits on 228 acres. Eighty percent of HSU's faculty members hold the highest degree in their field.
