La Rosa celebrates doorbusters 35 refreshing years only $299 COURTESY OF THE KERN HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE t was a packed house for the 35th anniversary celebration and grand opening of La Rosa Fruit Bar’s headquarters at 1317 Niles St. In attendance were over a hundred people, including Kern Hispanic Chamber of Commerce board members and elected official representatives, who enjoyed the refreshments, food and entertainment provided by the Mariachi Sun Foundation. As if that wasn’t enough, there were free ice cream fruit bars for everybody! A member of KCHCC since 1995, La Rosa has enjoyed success and longevity on its staple product and it is a brand that has been well known by many since the days of their childhood. there was another reason for celebration — it was La Rosa family member Jesus Diaz’s 90th birthday. Diaz was present and filming the grand opening when he was surprised with a La Rosa lemon-lime bar replica cake and “Las Mananitas” by daughter Norma Diaz. The Kern Hispanic Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all those who attended and all those who presented our member, La Rosa Fruit Bars, with certificates of recognition and other gestures of congratulations for both the grand opening and Mr. Diaz’s birthday. We would also like to thank La Rosa for its contribution to the economy of Kern County and for allowing us to be a part of this very special year.
