Share “Opt Out” and “Event Etiquette” with your students and their parents.

While restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic required changes to many of the student events, some new options were found and the Event Team is excited to transition back to in person. Many lessons were learned while virtual and some programs might keep some of the new formatting and take on a hybrid approach. MCOE will continue to follow all local health regulations when planning and considering in person events. The information in this booklet was finalized September 2, 2022. Dates and/or locations are subject to change and will be posted at mcoe org/StudentEvents Updates

Avoid unnecessary noise during a presentation. Turn off all cell phones when in a competition room. Ask permission of competitors before taking photos or videotaping them. Student Events Etiquette
