Social Skills Class For many children with Autism, building relationships with others is often difficult because they have not acquired the social skills that come naturally to many of us. In order to master these social skills, they must be taught explicitly, and have the opportunity to practice them again and again. Through repetition of important social skills, this class helps your child develop abilities that are important to be successful in the classroom and other areas of life.
Children will learn and practice: • Listening • Eye contact • Conversing • Reading and using appropriate body language • Social interactions and peer relationships • Sportsmanship • Social norms • Self-esteem and self control • How to handle teasing • And much more
