All registration forms must be completed!!! You can register at CDC or SAC.
Teams may have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 participants. All scores will be divided by the number of participants, so there is no benefit or hindrance for team size; it’s all up to you and your workout friends. This also keeps it fair during the initial 3 week “drop-add” timeframe. Prizes awarded to the Top Team for % weight lost as well as the Top Team for overall pounds lost. Formula: % = ((Initial lbs – Final lbs) /Initial lbs) * 100 Initial and Final Weigh-In will be performed in the presence of a Navy Fitness certified personal trainer at the Fitness Center from 0930-1800. Weigh-Ins during the Drop-Add period should be coordinated with the Fitness Center Coordinator for Mondays. Each participant missing the Final Weigh-In will incur a penalty of 1% for each day missed. Team members must record their weekly weight each Monday throughout the competition; these can be done at the gym or at home and are on the Honor System. Records will be at the Front Desk of the Fitness Center. One individual may record for the entire team. Any individual who misses a weekly weigh-in recording is penalized 1% of their individual weight for that week. Total scores per team will be posted, not individuals’ weight.
Tools to help aid you in this challenge: www.navyfitness.org www.acsm.org www.health.gov www.choosemyplate.gov The use of supplements, body wraps, and other extreme weight loss measures are discouraged. If you have any questions regarding weight loss, proper nutrition, and health constraints to exercise please contact a certified physician.
