Mayor’s Message As the new Mayor for the City of Merritt, we are pleased to provide our latest Recreation Guide for January 2019. Our Department of Recreation and Facilities publishes a new Activity Guide every three months. This way, our citizens have up-to-date activities available to plan for educational, social, and physical activities. Our staff are dedicated in trying to provide the activities and programs that you, our citizens, want and enjoy … and we try to provide a variety of activities in a safe and friendly environment, while trying to keep the prices affordable to our citizens. I hope we have done our citizens justice in this effort. Please contact our Recreation and Facilities Department to: • inquire about current programs • add additional programs • teach or instruct an activity or program, and • talk constructively about making changes that may better our delivery to the public We would like to thank our dedicated staff and sponsors for their contributions and efforts in making the City of Merritt into the jewel it is meant to be. I personally wish you well in your journey to connect with others through sports, or other activities, such as learning a new skill, all in the name of being healthy and active! Enjoy and choose well! Sincerely Linda A Brown, Mayor, City of Merritt

“From the moment we turned up at Claybanks we were treated like guests. Ted went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. You can see they take pride in their RV park. The bathroom, facilities & grounds were immaculate. Amazing campground, amazing owners and cannot recommend it enough. The fact that it was close to town and we didn’t need to ride on our rest day was an added bonus. Thanks for a lovely stay!” By Claybanks Guests June 8, 2018
