C A M PA I G N OFFICE SUMMER 2018 DAAP | Studio Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jordan Moser has decided to run for mayor to address both public and social issues in the community. We were asked to design a campaign office in a large warehouse adjacent to the American Sign Museum. The goal being to create a space where Jordan can run the day to day operations of the campaign as well as be a gathering space for the community. Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D

PAT T E R N I N G THE OCULUS SPRING 2019 DAAP | Studio We were to design a spatial insertion into the Oculus, located in New York City. The insertion needed to be culturally inspired based off of geometric or organic patterns found within. Creating spacial organization for the multi-functional insertion consisting of a casual eating kiosk, seating, tables , partitions, and ceiling elements to clearly communicate the message. After researching Ireland and its cultural I decided to further explore the Celtic knot. With inspiration from the Celtic knot of continuous wrapping and twisting elements I established a design language seen in the over all floor plan as well as individual seating elements. Photoshop, SketchUp

A P E R U V I A N I N S P I R E D R E S TA U R A N T SPRING 2019 DAAP | Studio “from the sea to the amazon, crossing the andes” Inspired by chef Virgilio Martínez from Lima, Peru Virgilio Martínez, a Peruvian chef originated in Lima, Peru. He is considered one of the new generation of Peruvian chefs publicizing and spreading Peruvian cuisine. Known for he use of unknown ingredient, he discovers them embedded in the different ecosystems of Peru. Virgilio digs deep into studying the different cultures throughout Peru traveling from ecosystem to ecosystem focusing his attention on the sea, amazon and the Andes. He observes the relationship and harmony that these three distinctly unique ecosystems have with one another and how the ingredients come together harmoniously to create his extravagant dishes. As he makes his way from the lowest to the highest altitudes of Peru he discovers his these ecosystems interact with one another and as a whole create the biodiversity of Peru. Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, Rhino 3D

CENTRAL I drew inspiration from a quote by chef Virgilio Martínez...

“from the sea to the amazon, crossing the andes” Focusing on three ecosystems that come to create biodiverse country of Peru. My first steps was to simplify and breakdown these individual ecosystems. Starting off with key describing words and simple shapes that represent them.

I chose to show the ANDES (triangle) in plan and section by creating a triangular shaped mezzanine. This design move creates an elevated space where you are able to overlook the entirety of the space showing a change in altitude and the separation of different ecosystems just as you would be able to overlook Peru from the Andes.

The AMAZON (lines) in both plan and section are interpreted as beams that span from the base of the mezzanine into the dining space on the ground level. Creating both a floor and ceiling element this added detail helps to divide the overall plan into different zones.

The SEA (curve) is shown in several element. Both the curved booth and bar. The sea is also shown through a flooring pattern change that swoops from the bar into the booth elements. UP
