Description: Project is located in the most important part of Istanbul. In front of the project site the most crowded and the most important road is passing through. From this road you can go to the central locations by using public transportations. The main subject of the project is community center.Behind the site, there is the poorest neighborhood. Therefore, the community center must be related with the neighborhood. To provide the continuity with the neighborhood and the community center, the reference points will be the intersection points of the site and the roads coming from the neighborhood. Also the site has a high slope. Therefore, some parts of the buildings will be embeded not to block the silhouette of the neighborhood. The roofs are triangulated to provide the sharp emotions and the differences between the nature and the handmade placed. place The roofs like the stones in the nature but this place is handmade so it is triandgulated. site plan

Description: Project is located in Antalya, Turkey. Antalya is the one of the most important destination of Turkey. From all around the world lots of tourists are coming to Antalya for holidays and expo. exp The city has many potentials of the events and the encounters within the city. The factory plays a huge role in the history of Turkish Republic. Dokuma factory was built in 1950’s, as to begin the production of the new republic. Sumerbank is the owner of the factory. The waeving was done at the fatory. The factory kept manufactoring until 2003, and it’s transferd to municipality for the future. The project aim is refunctioning the factory.

Landscape design: the seed of the factory is the main part and also it is the landmark. The aim of the seed is to take attention to the museum. Roads are directing people to the museum building. At the intersection of the road, there are shelters that there are public spaces where people can do diffrent hobbies, hobbie concerts etc.

The new function of the factory is contemporary art museum.When we analize the old factory campus, there is simple campus which is solved really simple and usefull. There are cafetery building and guest house building. buildin In the past, the campus is really close to the public because of the function. In addition, the main important item is the positioning the factory. The all of the windows are looking to the north. Therefore, inside of the factory there is homogeneous day facto light.

Description: Everyday in our country due to the increase in the number of refugees fleeing the social, increase of social problems are dragging the country into a chaotic enviranment in general. Refugees that they are trying to find places in the city, are generally observed that they are living gathered at the town square and parks. The purpose of the project exceeds the refugees and local people gathered in publ,c areas that we found out the focus function can be put together. In Istanbul, rent prices are differentiated by regions. Refugees are located in places where the rent prices low. Because of the language problem and low income, they cannot work and their childiren cannot find enough economical effort to go to schools. school Therefore, the emergent inland works like communal kitchen and public education center. This pavillion is designed for emergent situations like wars, earthquake etc. So, communal kitchen part is temporary. On the other hand public education center is permanant because in Turkey also we have lots of children need education.

Location: Karaköy, Istanbul, Turkey Semester: Fall 2015 Mentors: Emrah Altınok, Devrim Çimen, Sinan Logie, Gözde Şarlak Type: Short Movie Institute Description: Karaköy is the urban renewal area which is located on the Europe part of Istanbul. Before renewal projects, there are craft workshops. The studios were abandoned. Because of the abandoning, Karaköy became desolated and it was abandone dangerous for the society. On the renewal projects, restaurants, cafes, vintage shops were opened. Euroia is the short movie institude that it was researching and recording the changes that happening in the urban renewal projects. The aim of the project is creating awareness towards urban renewal. Because most of the people don’t know what’s happening in the city and don’t know these projects are successfull or done to be made without thinking circumference. In the building there are some openings which make vista points to show the important parts of the city. ma

Location: Unalan, Istanbul, Turkey Semester: Spring 2015 Mentors: Emre AltĂźrk, Ahmet Mucip Ulger, Cansu CĂźrgen Type: Collective Housing Description: Unalan is located on Asia part of the Istanbul. Also the project area is near to the main arterial road where is important for transportation of Istanbul. The project aim is designing a collective housing. housin In my project the most important thing is the open spaces, because in Istanbul there is not enough open spaces. Therefore, the buildings cover less spaces. Also there is existing tissue that the buildings are took refences from the Unalan neighborhood.

The Yenikapı project originates from an exceptional archeological finding. findin Eisenman Architects and Aytaç Architects attended to teh Yenikapı competition and they won the first place. I worked on the ceiling plans, mouliens’s design, 1/50 model (3 section model were done).

Description: During my intersnhip, I worked on different projects. The name of the projects are, Slandan Lund, Doktorsvagen, Vind. I worked on the virsualization of the Dorktorsvagen and Vind projects. I made the interiror and the exterior renderings. rendering I worked on the Slandan Lund project’s drawings and the virsualization. This project is a adaptive reuse project. The new building is tried to add to the existing one. I worked on the design of the joining point of the two building and also rendering of the exterior.
